Brotherly greeting achievement 3.3 5 alliance. Hyde winter cover (obtaining the title of Veselchak). Festive Winter Veil Items

Brotherly greeting achievement 3.3 5 alliance. Hyde winter cover (obtaining the title of Veselchak). Festive Winter Veil Items
Winter cover 2011 starts on Thursday 15 December and will last until 2 January. The New Year's achievement Veselchak is necessary for the Long and Strange Journey, so you will have to work hard again to get a little closer to the Amethyst Proto-Drake.
But in addition to achievements, there will be something to do at the holiday: only on Winter Veil you can turn your mount into a reindeer, become a funny dancing snowman, and, of course, get New Year's gifts.
Also this year we will see a new pet and a "new" holiday boss.

To Metzen!

Previously for the achievement To Metzen! had to go short but fun quest. For the Alliance it was given by an NPC in Ironforge, for the Horde it was given by an NPC in Orgrimmar.
Now we are offered a new quest - Cool Sense of Humor, which is marked as daily and group. Perhaps the Hateful Grinch, like other holiday bosses, will move to the instance, or maybe not - then you will have to fight other players at his spawn site in Hillsbrad.

With some help from my friends...

This achievement will take some work. During the holiday, Miraculous Frost appears in major cities, which can turn you into a gnome dressed in the costume of Father Winter's Helper. The buff lasts for an hour, but expires upon death. Transformation Machines can be found in the following zones:
  • Orgrimmar- Eastern tower of airships going to Undercity/Thunder'gol.
  • ironforge- right outside the main gates of the city.
  • Undercity- at the tower of airships going to Orgrimmar / Thunder'gol.
  • Stormwind- next to the flight master.
  • Tanaris- in the east of Gadgetzan.
  • Pirate Bay- at the pier.
  • shattrath- East of the city in the Terokkar Forest.
  • Dalaran- right in the center of the city on Runeweaver Square.
Got a buff? Great. Now in the form of a dwarf, you need to win 50 honorable victories. Of course, battlefields (Alterac Valley, Isle of Conquest) or Tol Barad are ideal for this purpose. Hustle and bustle in large-scale battlegrounds is much more convenient for scoring victories than small skirmishes in Warsong Gulch and Arathi Highlands. If you are afraid to die, you can use cannons or siege equipment where possible. If you didn't manage to get 50 wins before death (most likely you will), you will have to go again for the buff to Frost Wonder and queue up for a new BG.
Feral Druids are the most unlucky: the form of the dwarf is reset when changing form. This is very annoying, but you have to put up with it. Perhaps it's worth a while to run in a restaurant or a balance spec.
And of course, some annoying players will hunt characters disguised as dwarves and interfere with the achievement. Be alert.

Buka

For this achievement, the Alliance needs to throw snowballs at Muradin Bronzebeard in Ironforge, and the Horde - with Bane Bloodhoof in Thunder Bluff (before Cataclysm, Magni and Cairn got it). Snowballs during Winter Veil can be bought from NPCs in major cities. The Miser can make their own snowballs from the festive snow that appears in Dun Morogh, Winterspring, and the Alterac Mountains.

La-la-la-Ogri "la

This achievement will be a problem for those who paid little attention to Outland in their time. If you haven't played in times TheBurningcrusade and are not familiar with Ogri "la, this is a faction of highly developed ogres, located in the western part of the Blade's Edge Mountains. In 2009, you could immediately take a daily One more time to give them heat !, in 2010 - no. It is not yet clear whether something will change this year , but just in case, be prepared for the fact that in order to access the task you will have to complete a chain of quests:
  1. Start by questing Chu "a" lore Crystals (NPC coordinates - 29, 57).
  2. Our boy wants to be a tracker of the Guardians of Heaven, Torkus gives out (28, 57).
  3. Outpost of the Guardians of Heaven, gives out Chu "a" lor.
  4. Bomb Run issued by Sky Sergeant Vanderlip (27, 53).
  5. Now you can take it from him Once again, give them heat!
The quest itself is very simple, especially if you have a flying 310% mount. You will need Dried Holly (available from Ticking Gifts or bought during the celebrations) or Fresh Holly (you need to kiss the Winter Veil Reveler in any tavern). With the help of a holly, you can turn your flying mount into a deer. Druids who make do with the flight form will have to fork out for this achievement. So, we sit on a deer, take a quest, bomb cannonballs, turn in a quest - and the achievement is in your pocket!

winter days

At first glance, the achievement is simple, but you will have to tinker with festive clothes.
Chest and boots are not difficult to obtain, as they are crafted by tailors and leather workers. Look for Reds or Greens winter clothes and a pair of winter boots. A complete set will be expensive at the auction during the holiday, so it's best to collect materials and find a crafter to make your clothes. Although, patterns require 250 skill level in Tailoring and 285 skill level in Leatherworking, and if you have an alt with these professions, you can pump it up a bit and sew a holiday outfit yourself.
Here is a New Year's cap - this is a problem. It usually drops in 5-man dungeons during Winter Veil. Last year, with a 100% chance, the hat could be dropped from the following bosses:
  • Admiral Harrowhowl in the Deadmines
  • Lord Godfrey in Shadowfang Hold
  • Dragh Burning Darkness in Grim Batol
  • High Priestess Azil in Stonecore
  • Duskcaller Korl in Blackrock Caverns
Can't get the hat out? Don't be discouraged. In 2010, hats fell from the Great Sorceress Telestra from the Nexus, Jedoga the Shadow Seeker from An "kahet and Mage-Lord Uromaiz Oculus. Let's hope that this year the drop will not be removed. If you can kill these solo bosses, go for them. Drop chance with normal difficulty is low, so it's better to immediately go to the heroics.
Did you get the New Year's set? Now you need to eat the Grakka Cake with Meat and Fruit, which will be sent to you some time after Metzen's rescue. Voila - another achievement!

Oh that Grinch...

This achievement, as well as the quest to save Metzen, has undergone changes this year. We used to be sent to the Wonderful Snowman in the Alterac Mountains, who asked to kill the Abominable Grinch. But since the Grinch is now linked to a daily group quest, he could have been transferred to the instance like other holiday bosses. Otherwise, you will have to compete with other players at the point of his spawn.
After killing the Grinch and obtaining the Stolen Treats, return them to their owner and speak with Grandfather Winter in Ironforge or Orgrimmar.

Let the blizzard come on stronger!

Let the blizzard come on stronger! unlikely to cause problems - all combinations of races and classes are quite popular. Probably the least common are dwarven paladins. But still, there are far more of them than the dwarven robbers that had to be looked for at the Pilgrim's Feast. On the other hand, in Cataclysm, Dalaran and Shattrath City are empty, and running around enemy capitals is not safe. So that leaves the battlefields and Tol Barad. By the way, if you still look for players of another faction in Dalaran, at the same time you can get the Incendiary Dances achievement.
A handful of snowflakes can be obtained by kissing Winter Veil Reveler in the tavern. This achievement will require at least 10 handfuls.

Fraternal greeting

For this achievement you need to visit several NPCs. At first glance, it seems that the version for the players of the Alliance is more difficult, but in fact, most of their "Brothers" are in Stormwind. So, all you have to do is find these NPCs and touch them with the mistletoe branch.
Alliance
  1. Brother Nimez - Rebel Camp in Northern Stranglethorn.
  2. Brother Anton - Wastelands.
  3. Brother Karman - Theramore Isle, Dustwallow Marsh.
  4. Brother Wilhelm - Goldshire, Elwynn Forest.
  5. The rest of the brothers are in the Cathedral of Light in Stormwind. Only Brother Christoph is walking outside on Cathedral Square.
Horde
  1. Brother Malach - The Warriors' Quarter in the Undercity.
  2. Durkot Wolfbrother - Warsong Keep (next to the stables).
  3. Brother Keltan is aboard the Horde airship Orgrim's Hammer, which patrols the northeastern region of Icecrown.

Winter treats

This is where the cooking skill pumped up at the Pilgrim's Feast will come in handy - for Winter Treats you will need to cook these same treats. Recipes for making Gingerbread, Egg Mogul, and Hot Apple Cider are available from Christmas vendors in major cities. The cider recipe is only sold in Ironforge and Orgrimmar, but it can be sent to you by mail after completing some Christmas quests.
For treats you will need the following products:
  • One Ice Milk - Sold by tavern owners around the world
  • 2 Festive Drinks - Sold by Christmas vendors
  • One Carbonated Apple Cider - Sold by Christmas Vendors
  • 3 Festive spices - sold by Christmas vendors
  • 2 Small Eggs - The Horde is most comfortable knocking them out of dragonhawks in Eversong Woods, the Alliance - from Owlkins in Darkshore. If you do not feel like farming, you can buy eggs at the auction (usually for big money).
To cook all three dishes, you will need at least 325 Cooking Skills (1 for Gingerbread, 35 for Eggnog and 325 for Cider).

Gifts only for obedient children!

Getting a New Year's gift - what could be nicer! But you'll have to wait until December 25th - it is on this day that New Year's gifts begin to appear under the tree in Ironforge or Orgrimmar.
Looks like the Flamboyant Winter Veil Sweater will be a special gift this year. With it, you can get the Fearless Chanter achievement.
In addition, the Clockwork Rocket Bot (2007), the Crash Bolide (2008), the Red Rider Carbine (2009) and the Mini Zeppelin Controller (2010) were all great feats, so a sweater is your ticket to more one feat.

Incendiary dances

This achievement requires three things:
  • Winter Veil Dressing Set
  • snowball
  • Another snowman player based in Dalaran
It's easy to get a dressing kit - it will be sent to you after getting the achievement Oh, that Grinch ... Snowballs, as already mentioned, can be bought from New Year's NPCs, found in snowy areas, or obtained from Heald's trophies. In the early days of Winter Veil, finding a dance partner in Dalaran will be easy, but over time the city will empty again, so try to get the achievement as early as possible.

Other news on this topic:

Winter Veil is a seasonal celebration in World of Warcraft dedicated to the New Year. It runs from December 16 to January 2 every year. This Winter Veil guide will tell you about the tasks, achievements and costumes of this holiday, as well as about gifts from Grandfather Winter.

This Winter Veil guide will help you get your head around the New Year's Eve fun.

Changes in 2016

Winter Veil Gifts

The most interesting thing about Winter Veil is, of course, the gifts. Those gifts that lay under the tree in Orgrimmar / Ironforge can be opened from December 25 to January 2. Everyone can open 6 different gifts from under the Christmas tree. You can open them with different characters (that is, 6 gifts for one, 6 for others, and so on).

What can be found in gifts:

What is inside

Carefully wrapped gift

You need to wear 3 holiday items and eat .

This achievement can only be completed during Winter Veil. Some items of clothing are presented in several colors - you can wear any.

  • Head: Red Christmas hat or Green Christmas hat. These items can be dropped from bosses in Northrend Heroics, Cataclysm Normals and Heroics, Siege of Orgrimmar bosses, and Draenor Dungeons. Hats have a small chance to drop as world drops..
  • Chest: Red winter clothes or Green winter clothes. Chestplates are crafted by characters with Tailoring 250+ or can be bought on the auction house. Alliance players can easily get both recipes, as Loreala Moneybell in Shattrath City sells the Horde recipe Pattern: Green Winter Clothes, but for Horde characters, getting the recipe Pattern: Red Winter Clothes is much more difficult. Crafting requires 4x Bolt of Runecloth , Bolt of Wool , Rune Thread and Dye: 2x Red Dye or 2x Green Dye
  • Feet: Pattern: Winter Boots is sold by Smokywood Pasture vendors, and can also be found by some leatherworkers in the post office (after opening a gift). The recipe can be used to craft Winter Boots using the following materials: Copper Bar , Bolt of Wool , 4x Rugged Leather , Rune Thread . Requires Leatherworking skill 285+.
  • Grakku's Meat and Fruit Cake can be found in a gift that players receive within 24 hours of completing the Treat for Grandfather Winter (Alliance Version) or Cool Sense of Humor (Alliance Version)! This Cake can also be purchased from Kaimard Copperknop and Dolcha Moneyknell for 99.99 gold and can be found in Stolen Gift .

During Winter Veil, use the Winter Veil Dressing Kit and dance with another snowman in Dalaran.

This achievement can only be completed during the Winter Veil Celebration.

You need to use a sprig of mistletoe on all the "brothers" of the Winter Veil. There are three for the Horde and eight for the Alliance. Mistletoe can be obtained by /kissing a Winter Veil Reveler (usually found in taverns).

Where to find Horde and Alliance brothers in Winter Veil:

Fraction Brother Location and coordinates
Alliance Brother Joshua Stormwind, (50, 45)
Brother Benjamin Stormwind, (52, 47)
Brother Cassius Stormwind,
Brother Crowley Stormwind, (52, 43)
Brother Christoph Stormwind, (55, 54)
Brother Nimez Northern Stranglethorn (47, 11)
Brother Wilhelm Elwynn Forest, Goldshire
Brother Karman* Dustwallow Marsh, Theramore

in order to change appearance of your flying mount on a reindeer, you need to use Fresh Holly or Dried Holly on it, which are given for /kiss of Winter Veil Reveler or for completing tasks. These items can also be bought at the auction.

To achieve this, you need to open one of the gifts under the tree. Simply log in between December 25th and January 2nd to receive a gift from under the tree in Orgrimmar or Ironforge.

Gifts can be:

During Winter Veil, use a Handful of Snowflakes on characters of the following race/class combinations:

  • Orc Death Knight
  • Undead Rogue
  • Blood Elf Warlock
  • Night Elf Druid
  • Dwarf Paladin
  • Tauren Shaman
  • Dwarf Mage
  • Man Warrior
  • Troll Hunter
  • Draenei Priest

Just look around in your faction's major cities or battlefields and you'll most likely see the right characters. If you can't find it, try the command

/who is a dwarf mage steelforge

You will see a list of dwarf mages in Ironforge. Then look for them using the command /target [name of the found player], or just write to the PM, asking for help with the achievement.

Achievement is given for completing the quest A Cool Sense of Humor (Alliance Version).

This achievement is given for completing the chain of quests that starts with the quest

This is a simple and very fun achievement for which we need to complete a small chain of quests. The initial quest is taken from the deer, which can be found in Ironforge in front of the bank or in Orgrimmar before the auction. The quest will require you to travel to Tanaris or the Blasted Gorges.

With some help from my friends...

In order to complete this achievement, you need to dress up as a winter gnome. The settings for the transformation can be found:

  • Orgrimmar - near the Zeppelin Tower to Undercity/Gromgol
  • Ironforge - outside the main gate
  • Undercity - Near the Zeppelin Tower towards Orgrimmar/Gromgol
  • Stormwind - near the entrance to the flightmaster
  • Tanaris - in the east of Primbambaska
  • Pirate Bay - at the docks
  • Shattrath - East of the city in Terrokar
  • Dalaran - in the city center

When you turn into a gnome, you need to get 50 honorable kills. To do this, it is best to go to OLO or Alterac. While in a vehicle, you can also get honorable kills and are much less likely to die. Remember that if you die, you can always put on the gnome outfit again and continue the task.

Druids should also take into account that entering the form causes the suit to reset. Will have to tinker =)

Buka

You need to throw a snowball at the Horde/Alliance leader depending on your faction. For the Horde it would be Cairn, for the Alliance it would be Magni Bronzebeard. There is nothing difficult, snowballs are sold at all festive NPCs in cities.

La la la Ogrila

You need to complete the task Once again give them heat! sitting on a festive deer. Please note that players are no longer required to complete a long quest line with the Ogril faction in order to gain access to the quest. You can find the desired quest at coordinates 28.57 in Blade's Edge Mountains.

After accepting the quest, you need to mount and use Dried Holly (in case you have already freed Metzen) or Fresh Holly (which can be obtained by using emote / kiss on NPCs in capitals)

winter days

First you need clothes. It can be crafted by tailors or leather workers using recipes. Recipes are sold by holiday NPCs and cost mere pennies. Requires Red Winter Clothes or Green Winter Clothes (requires 250 sewing). As well as Winter Boots (requires 285 Leatherworking). In addition, they can always be purchased at the auction, although the prices will bite at first.

The final part of the costume is the cap. By tradition, caps drop from bosses in instances, and therefore we will have to go to the dungeons. The Red New Year's Hat drops from Telestra in the Nexus or Jedogi from Ankahet, while the Green New Year's Hat drops from Mage-Lord Urom from the Oculus. Unfortunately, in this moment there is no exact confirmation of the places where the caps drop, so it may change with the start of the event.

You will receive the Grakka Cake with Meat and Fruit some time after saving Metzen. Get dressed, eat and - voila! Achievement.

Oh that Grinch

It all starts with the short line Lost Feast of Winter Veil, which you can pick up in Orgrimmar or Ironforge. You will be sent to the Wonderful Snowman, located at 35.72 in Alterac Valley, who will immediately ask you to kill some Abominable Grinch. Although the mob respawns very quickly, it will be very difficult to spawn it before other adventurers. As always, best time to perform such achievements - deep night or early morning.

After killing and looting the quest item, talk to Snowman and then return to the quest starter in Ironforge or Orgrimmar.

Let the blizzard come on stronger!

It's one of those accomplishments that doesn't need to be explained, but is so hard to do. You will receive a handful of snowflakes when using the emote / kiss on NPCs in taverns. After that - go in search of the desired class-racial combinations =)

Fortune will help you!

Brotherly Salute (Alliance) and (Horde)

You need to find the indicated mobs and touch them with a sprig of mistletoe. We get the mistletoe in the above way - we kiss everything in a row =).

For Alliance:

  • Brother Nimez of Stranglethorn
  • Brother Anton of Desoleis
  • Brother Carman of Theramore
  • Brother Wilhelm of Goldshire
  • Brothers from Stormwind - the rest of the brothers can be found in the Cathedral, location 55,54

For Horde:

  • Brother Malach of the Undercity
  • Durkot Wolfbrother from Warsong Hold in the Borean Tundra
  • Brother Keltan aboard Orgrim's Hammer in Icecrown

Winter treats

Thanks to the great opportunity to level up Cooking at Pilgrim's Feast, this achievement should be very easy. You need to make Gingerbread Cookies, Eggnog and Hot Apple Cider. Cooking recipes are sold by holiday vendors in Ironforge and Orgrimmar.

In total, you will need a small amount of reagents, which are mainly sold by holiday NPCs. Only Small Eggs can cause a problem. They can be easily knocked out from low-level bird-like creatures in the starting locations of any race.

Gifts only for obedient children

A great achievement, not only because of the achievement points, but also because of the opportunity to make great money. You just need to find gifts under the tree and get them. Keep in mind that this year there will most likely be new non-combat pets or other fun items.

In addition, some very cool items can be obtained from gifts, from which I earned about 5000 gold last year. More details, most likely, I will tell in one of the posts =)

Incendiary dances

To complete this achievement, you will need the Winter Veil Dressing Kit and a Snowball. You will receive the desired set by mail after completing the quest for the Grinch. Snowballs can be purchased from holiday vendors. After receiving all this splendor, we go to Dalaran and dance there with other snowmen.

If at first there will be no end to those who wish, then closer to the end of the holiday, for sure, there will be cunning guys who want to sell the “dance” for n-tsat gold. Therefore, I recommend doing this achievement as quickly as possible.

The most difficult task will be finding the dwarf paladin, in my opinion. But even this does not compare with the absurdity of finding a dwarf robber for the Pilgrim's Feast. Whatever the case, the Horde and Alliance have populated their main cities more than they did before when we were lost in Shatrath and Dalaran. You can try to combine this achievement with Fire Dances by trying to dance with members of the opposite faction. Otherwise, Battlegrounds, Tol Barad, or just enemy cities/locations will help you get through the achievement with ease.

Also, gifts from past years of the holiday can be used properly. For example, the Red Rider Carbine from 2007 can be used to unlock the BB King achievement for Alliance and Horde. By the way, an alternative to this carbine is sold at toy vendors in Stormwind and Orgrimmar. BB King is a required achievement during Winter Veil, but Fearless Chanter can be omitted.

Incendiary dances

Sounds pretty straight forward, but you will need 3 objects:

  • Another dancing snowman in Dalaran.

Yes, you will need to fly to Dalaran for this.

The Dressing Kit is pretty easy to get - it's an unannounced bounty for The Grinch... so just wait a day after completing the achievement and you'll see the Winter Veil Dressing Kit in the mail. Snowballs, as I said earlier, can be bought from Winter Veil merchants or from snowdrifts around the world, and also drop from Hildean Spoils. Finding a second snowman during the Dalaran festival is easy as long as the first days of the celebration last, but their number will decrease over time, so it's better to try to get the achievement at the beginning, not at the end of the holiday. I remember that on my realm some good people stood near the bank and danced all night, letting others get an achievement. This guide comes to an end, I hope you enjoyed it.

:)

With the onset of winter in Azeroth, it's time for the holidays - World of Warcraft celebrates the Feast of Winter Veil, cities and villages are transformed, dressing up in colorful garlands, and players hold mass festivities with yeti beating and opening gifts. Since the Winter Veil is good holiday, you don't even have to farm the holiday currency, which isn't there, so you can just have fun and farm gifts.

Winter Veil Quests

Of course, it is not necessary to do quests, but over there the Grinch stole your gift right from under the tree, and that yeti has a mount somewhere in the bins - do not leave such behavior without attention!

First you need to say hello to Grandfather Winter - in vain did he, perhaps, try and cover Azeroth with a snow blanket? Grandfather Winter meets everyone in Ironforge and Orgrimmar, and no, this is not at all a dwarf dressed in a shabby camisole or an orc with a fake beard.

So, you said hello to Grandfather Winter himself, but where is the treat? As everyone knows, Grandfather loves gingerbread cookies, a recipe for which can be bought from any nearest Smokywood Pastures representative, and ice-cold milk, which is sold in every tavern. After you treat Grandfather, your gifts will undoubtedly be better than others.

Now it's time to open the presents! Just go to all the marked boxes under the tree and open them - you will surely be in for a lot of pleasant surprises.

That's bad luck - someone stole your gift, and even took Metzen the reindeer. This, of course, was done by the Grinch, who lives in a cold cave in the Hillsbrad Foothills - you should go there and show the scoundrel that stealing other people's gifts is not good, especially from a heavily armed adventurer. The stolen gift will be your reward.

Maybe you want a holly? The local holly is able to turn mounts into reindeer, however, not everyone can get it, but only anyone who brings deeprock salt and 5 gold coins to the holly dryer next to festive tree. Salt is usually sold by leather goods vendors.

Remember how you saved Metzen the Reindeer? So, for this you are entitled to a special gift directly from the hands of Grandfather Winter. Yes, it has a goblin seal on it, but you can find a lot of interesting things inside.

But there is no Grandfather Winter on Draenor, but there is a Grump who loves to spoil everyone's holiday. In your garrison, you can find out all the details of his atrocities, as well as what you can buy for the massacre of the villain winter decorations for your fortress.

The grumbler is so angry that he kidnaps children, and then gives them bad gifts. Perhaps he also laughs in the process, but this is not yet certain. You have to correct the deeds of the Grumpy - save the children, and break the terrible gifts. In addition, a reward in the form of decorations for the garrison is laid for this. Along the way, you can kill Grumbler's assistants - Nasty grumblers are also extremely bad personalities.

All quests can be obtained either in Ironforge or Orgrimmar, or in your Draenor garrison. Of course, there is nothing complicated about them, but the gifts that you receive for them can hide many interesting little things, which we will talk about later.

To find out if the boss has a cap, just look at his head - there should, in fact, be a cap.

When you get to the place, complete the desired quest and get the achievement. If you've never been there, you'll first need to complete Ogri'La's main quest chain to unlock local daily quests.

14. Danger Zone - You will need the Thrashing Threshing Bomber, which is randomly dropped from presents under the tree. Once you get the toy, use it to start controlling the bomber and shoot down the other player's bomber to get the achievement.

15. Let the blizzard come on stronger! - you need to find all the characters listed in the achievement and shower them with snowflakes. Handfuls of snowflakes are given to you by Winter Veil Revelers, but for this you need to kiss them, as in the "brothers" achievement. The right characters are easiest to find either in the capitals or in the starting locations.

16. With some help from my friends... - to get this achievement, you need to turn into a little helper by finding a goblin and his frost miracle in the capital of your faction. After transforming, go to the battlefield and defeat 50 enemy players there.

17. Shooting Without Killing - For this achievement, you will need the Red Rider Air Rifle and its ammo, which can be purchased from the toy store in Dalaran. Armed with a carbine, you need to go to the enemy capitals and shoot there from a carbine at the leaders of the enemy faction.
