Handicraft websites are often full of knitted furniture for Barbie, but the description leaves much to be desired. This master class shows in detail knitted furniture for dolls with a description of the work and step-by-step photos.

What is needed for a knitted sofa:

  • skein of thread;
  • piece of fabric 20*7 cm;
  • foam rubber 19*6*6 cm;
  • hook,
  • needle,
  • sewing threads to match the knitting threads.

Making a knitted sofa:

We collect air loops from knitting threads along the length of the foam rubber. In our product there are 47 loops;

We knit a flat fabric in single crochet columns 13 cm in height (our product has 24 columns);

We sew the fabric to a knitted piece of fabric and cover it with foam rubber.

We collect 13 loops on each side and tie the foam rubber on the sides.

The next step is making the back of the sofa and armrests. In a semicircle, as in the photo, we cast on loops in this way (13 loops on the sides, 47 chain loops (this will be the back) and another 13 loops on the other side). We knit 24 single crochets and fasten the last loop.

On the inside of the back, on the 1st row from the bottom, we cast on 73 loops and knit 4 rows of double crochets, attach them to the base of the sofa and then knit 12 rows of single crochets. Connect with the second layer. In the process of joining the two parts, it is necessary to fill it evenly with padding polyester or other lightweight material.

Sew evenly along the back of the sofa in 3 places, thereby decorating the sofa.
