The holiday is bright, light, joyful, on this day they traditionally decorate their home, dress up a pine or spruce tree, light candles, garlands, the whole family gathers around a large table to remember all the good things that happened this year and celebrate with the chimes at midnight old and be sure to have a happy New Year.

New Year is coming soon - the most anticipated family holiday! On such a holiday, no one can be left without a gift. All mothers, fathers, grandparents, friends, colleagues are happy to see them... There are so many relatives and friends and everyone wants to please. A great idea, a DIY New Year's gift that will decorate not only your home on New Year's Eve, but also convey the holiday spirit. Limitless possibilities for imagination and creativity are revealed, because any little thing in the house can be turned into a bright, colorful gift, the main thing is to correctly determine its functions and decorate accordingly.

I want to invite you to make a candlestick - I think this is an excellent “New Year’s souvenir” - a keepsake gift for your loved ones on the eve of the holiday.

Practical work.

Consider our candlestick, it consists of an arch on which bells, twigs, a bow and a base consisting of a CD, a candle, a glass salt shaker decorated with branches, sequins and beads are attached

Step-by-step work execution

Stage 1 - preparatory work

Using a spinner, string green beads onto a wire

Fill the spinner bowl with at least 20g of beads. Using the index finger of your left hand, smoothly press the power button of the device. With your right hand, place the wire into the bowl, having first bent the end in an arc, with the sharp end “against the flow” of the beads. Choose the right angle so that the beads themselves are strung on the sharp end of the wire and rise up.

The beads are strung, let's start making twigs and bells...

Stage 2 - making spruce branches

Here it is, our Christmas tree,

In the brilliance of radiant lights!

She seems more beautiful than everyone else

Everything is greener and lush.

E. Blaginina

We will make the branches using the technique "loop weaving" to decorate the top of the arch we will need 9 pcs.

Thus, departing 1 cm from each previous loop, we twist the workpiece from 9 loops

Then we twist the loops in pairs, starting from the central heel from top to bottom, trying to make the loops match

To decorate the base of the candle, we will need to make 7 branches of 5 loops each, in the same way, with 20 beads in each loop.

The twigs are ready

Bright beads will be a wonderful addition to spruce branches.

Stepping back 10 cm from the edge of the wire, fasten the bead using the twisting method. Thus, departing 1 cm from each previous bead, we twist 9 beads

We offer you another master class with a weaving pattern, in which we will tell you how to make a candlestick from beads with your own hands, which will make your interior more original, bright and unusual. And for this you only need beads and fishing line with a needle.

Tools and materials Time: 2 hours Difficulty: 3/10

  • glass base for candlestick;
  • beads;
  • fishing line;
  • bead needle.

To make a candlestick from beads, first select a base of a suitable shape. We will decorate it with beads today according to the proposed pattern. If you do everything correctly, you get an openwork, light fabric that makes the product very unusual.

Step-by-step master class

Before starting work, let us remind you that you can use not only single-color beads, but also multi-colored ones.

Weaving pattern

Step 1: make the first loop

To begin with, we attach our stop bead to the fishing line, which will prevent the rest of the beads from escaping during the process. Since the weaving will go in one thread, we fasten it closer to the end of the selected segment.

Step 2: forming a figure eight

We tighten it, and we get the first loop of the decoration. Next, we string 7 more beads, and send the needle to the first strung bead (we do not touch our stop bead).

Step 3: weaving a mesh

We string 8 more beads, and send it all to the 4th bead of the previous step. We tighten again. Next, we string 7 more beads, and again send the needle as shown in the photo.

We continue to weave in this way, trying the workpiece on our glass candlestick. Once the product reaches the required length, we connect both sides to each other.

Step 4: tighten the mesh on the base

That's all, we put the resulting bracelet on the candlestick, and you can light the candle.

By the way, in the same way you can weave a full-fledged wide bracelet for yourself, which will look pretty good on your wrist or ankle. But then in the end you will have to not connect the two parts of the workpiece together, but create a wide fastener. Or weave it initially from a rubberized thread, which easily stretches both during the work process and after its completion.

Nowadays, candlesticks are a beautiful decorative element, sometimes an indicator of luxury or a work of art. However, he took on the role of decoration not so long ago; in past centuries, a candlestick was a necessary item.

For example, the ancient Egyptians inserted candles into special stands that looked like a lotus flower, from which, according to legend, the sun god Ra emerged, bringing light to people. These candlesticks had primarily a ritual significance, and only over time people discovered that this was also a very convenient solution for everyday use.

A new round in the history of the candlestick began in the 16th century. It was simply an iron or wooden block with recesses for candles. Functionality was valued first and foremost; no one thought much about the decorative component. However, the Renaissance made its own adjustments, and candlesticks that are real masterpieces were born. Florentine and Venetian decorated with carvings, precious metals, various figures, inlaid with precious stones, pompous and elaborate.

In the modern world, there are many candlesticks made in a variety of directions and styles. In order for a candlestick to suit a specific interior or an important event, you can make it yourself.

In the master classes presented in this article, candlesticks made of beads will be considered. This is one of the most popular materials for needlework. Thanks to the variety of colors and shapes of small beads, you can create a candlestick to suit every taste.

The simplest candlestick decorated with beads.

The beauty of this candlestick is that the ability to weave beads is absolutely not necessary to decorate it. You will need:

  • Beads of different colors;
  • Glass glass (it should be larger in diameter than the candle);
  • PVA glue.

Pour the beads into a flat plate and mix (if you have taken several colors).

Spread glue on one half of the glass and leave the bottom clean.

Roll the glass half with glue in beads.

Wait until the glue hardens a little. Cover the other half of the glass with glue and beads. Wait a little longer and cover with glue and beads in another layer.

Wait until it dries completely, and the candlestick is ready.

Very often, needlewomen keep a lot of all sorts of little things from the “what if they need it” category. If among these things there is a small frame from an old candlestick, a children's toy or something else, then its time has come.

Beaded candlestick in warm colors.

You will need:

  • Frame;
  • Beads of different colors or shades;
  • Wire;
  • Nippers or scissors.

It is necessary to clean the frame from the old coating. You will get a “skeleton”, on the basis of which a candlestick will be created.

Secure one end of the wire around the base of the frame.

Start stringing beads onto the second end of the wire.

Using low beads, make a “skeleton” winding in a spiral. Where the frame has ribs, it will be necessary to make a coil of wire around them for better fastening.

When the winding is complete, you will need to make a couple of turns of the wire tail and hide it in the last bead row. The candlestick is ready. You can safely insert a candle and get ready for a romantic dinner.

Here's a slightly more complicated version beaded candlestick on a frame. You don’t have to use the old “skeleton” and don’t buy it in the store, but make it yourself from thick wire. Then the candlestick can be considered exclusive with 100% certainty. Such designer items will be an excellent gift for family and friends.

You will need:

  • Metal frame (a cube is used in this master class);
  • Multi-colored beads of different formats;
  • Large beads (rectangular, square and diamond-shaped);
  • Wire matching the color of the beads;
  • Scissors or wire cutters, pliers.

The work, as in the previous case, will take place from the bottom up. It is necessary to secure the wire with several turns around one leg (rib) of the frame.

String beads onto a wire and braid all 4 sides of the cube. In the rows you can and should change the colors of the beads; one can be made from beads of a different diameter. The main thing is that the shades of the beads are in harmony with each other.

Having completed 4 - 5 rows, proceed to the next part of the decoration. Make triangles from wire with beads, attach the wire diagonally to the horizontal jumpers of the frame.

You can combine beads and beads, choose different sizes, the main thing is that all the space is filled. You can first draw the expected pattern of the future candlestick.

Repeat winding the rows of beads again, as at the beginning of the work.

Insert crystals into the square holes; beads that are almost the same size as the square “windows” will look most harmonious.

The upper part of the candlestick is again braided with beads as in the very first step. Secure the tail of the wire with a couple of turns and hide it in the bead row.

All that remains is to align the wires with the beads and the candlestick is ready.

Many needlewomen are faced with the problem of sizing beads. Probably everyone came across beads or even packages of beads that were slightly different in size from each other. And if such beads are not suitable for products like a necklace or earrings, then you can easily use them for candlesticks.

When making your next candlestick, not only these beads will be useful, but also trinkets from the “what if you need it” section. These could be, for example, shells from an old bracelet. In this master class you will create beaded candlestick in a marine theme.

You will need:

  • Hairpins (for 1 candlestick 6 pcs.);
  • Wire;
  • Beads of white and different shades of blue;
  • Shells;
  • Scissors, wire cutters, pliers.

First you need to shape the studs, as shown in the photo.

Twist the hairpins together with wire for a stable structure. For reliability, you can glue it.

Next, fasten one tail of the wire at the very bottom and begin decorating with beads, as in the previous versions. To make the rows more neat and even, make a turn of wire at each joint of the studs. After 4 - 5 rows you can weave shells. The upper parts of the candlestick are braided separately.

For the bottom, use a similar winding principle. Make several turns, securing the wire in different places of the frame.

The candlestick is ready.

The following candlestick in bright colors and shades will suit creative people who love life in all its manifestations.

Beaded candle holder with a bright geometric pattern.

To create such a positive candlestick in rich shades, you will need knowledge of the principle of “brick weaving”. Required:

  • Beads of bright colors;
  • A glass of suitable size;
  • Fishing line.

The principle of brick weaving is quite simple. Here is a diagram. All that remains is to draw on it the pattern that you like, or use the one suggested here.

It will be necessary to weave a ribbon equal in length to the circumference of the glass and equal in height to it. Wrap and sew with the same fishing line.

The beauty of this type of weaving is that in addition to various patterns for beads, you can use small patterns for cross stitch. Ethnic style motifs will look great in such candlesticks.

Beautiful and original candlesticks will make excellent gifts. Instead of glasses, you can use any glassware with smooth sides. And you may again need some “what if you need it” things, for example, a jar of cream or an old vase.

On the eve of the New Year Natalia Knizhnikova will tell you how to make a candlestick with your own hands:

New Year's candlestick

A candle is a mandatory attribute of the New Year's holiday. After all, it is special - it symbolizes hope for happiness in the new year. For such a candle and candlestick you need a special mood. You can make it yourself. It will be unique, you definitely won’t buy one like it in a store. Using beads in a candlestick will provide the ability to magically illuminate the candle light.

To make a candlestick you need to prepare: a glass glass, transparent waterproof universal glue, multi-colored beads (small quantities, you can use leftovers), a beautiful three-layer napkin for decoupage (preferably with a New Year's theme), a needle, scissors, tweezers.

Step one. Wash the glass with baking soda and wipe it dry. Cut out a plot from a napkin of a suitable size along the contour with scissors and try it on a glass. Make any necessary adjustments.

Step two. Apply glue to the cut out picture and carefully stick it onto the glass.

Step three. Consistently glue beads onto individual fragments of the pattern in accordance with their color. If the beads are large, it is more convenient to use tweezers. Small beads are easier to collect and adjust with a needle. Take your time, be patient and do this work in a good mood, making your cherished wishes and setting yourself up for good luck in the New Year.

Step four. Additionally, glue beads along the edges and fill in the voids if necessary.

If you are good at drawing, then instead of a napkin, you can draw the outlines of the picture on the glass with a thin felt-tip pen or entrust this important task to your child, explaining the task to him. Don't forget that the simpler the pattern, the easier it will be to deal with wayward beads.

Do you want to make a candlestick with just such a bird as in our master class? Print out her drawing, place the cut out bird on the inside of the glass and get to work.

Step five. Allow the beads to dry completely according to the time indicated on the glue.

Step six. Choose a suitable candle (preferably several at once) for your candlestick.

Don't forget about the magical properties of candle color:

    red symbolizes health, increases vital energy, improves fate;

    orange will bring success, fill you with optimism, attract the sympathy of the people you want to please;

    pink is favorable for friendship, love and happiness;

    green brings prosperity and increased income:

    yellow enhances the development of intelligence,

    blue helps the patient recover.

Candles must be completely the same color (there are only those doused on the outside).

Step seven. Make a small New Year's composition (from fruits, a cup of tea, New Year's toys, etc.) Place your candlestick next to it, light a candle and admire the beauty that you have created with your own hands.

By the way, such an original candlestick with a candle would be an excellent New Year’s gift for a friend or family.

Happy New Year!

Candlestick "Poinsettia"

We offer you a master class on making a candlestick, the basis of which will be a Christmas tree made of beads. Even a novice master can implement this idea - you don’t need any special skills or abilities, everything is very simple.

As a result, you will get a very cute and cute holiday souvenir that can be used as an independent decoration or an element of any composition.

What do we need?

  • thin wire for beading
  • green beads
  • white beads
  • plaster, cold porcelain or other material that is not afraid of fire

How to weave a Christmas tree?

We start by making spruce branches. To do this, take a piece of wire, attach a white bead to its end, and then bend it in half and simply thread it through the free end of the bead (from 7 to 15 pieces). We weave several branches together.

This way we make several spruce beaded branches.

When connecting the elements, twist the ends of the wire tightly together.

All ends rotate clockwise. The number of branches depends on the desired size of the craft. If you want to make a small Christmas tree, 15-16 pieces will be enough for you.

Twist all the branches together and assemble the Christmas tree. Make the base for the candlestick simple: oval or triangular, thin, and make the hole for the candle with the candle itself.
