Knitted dog clothes will help protect your four-legged pet from the cold. This is especially important for small breeds and animals whose “fur coats” are not designed for frost. For craftsmen who are fond of needlework, it will not be difficult for them to knit or crochet a jumpsuit, a suit, a blanket or a sweater if they refer to the proposed patterns and instructions. Detailed description process will save knitters from the need to spend money on purchasing finished products and will allow them to create exclusive models.

    Preparatory stage

    The ability to knit or crochet will help you create an exclusive dog outfit for your pet. However, before you start knitting a suit or overalls you should:

    1. 1. Choose a model of knitted clothes for your dog.
    2. 2. Prepare materials and tools.
    3. 3. Take measurements from the dog.
    4. 4. Draw a base pattern.
    5. 5. Calculate the knitting density.
    6. 6. Choose a pattern.
    7. 7. Develop a pattern for a specific model.

    Point 1 is individual for each master and dog owner. Although model developers usually give recommendations at the beginning of the instructions for its implementation. Next comes the listing necessary materials and tools. Using it, the master performs step 2 of the preparatory stage.

    Taking measurements from a dog

    To make the product comfortable to wear, you need life-size patterns of the product parts. Before constructing the pattern, measurements are taken from the animal. The results are recorded. For this measuring tape measure:

    • back length from withers to tail;
    • neck circumference (measured as close as possible to the base - shoulders);
    • chest girth (a tape measure is passed under the animal’s front paws, almost right next to them);
    • girth of the front paw at the base (closer to the stomach);
    • girth of the hind paw at the base (closer to the stomach).

    For male dogs, an additional measurement is needed - belly length. It is measured from the throat to the genitals.

    Here are the approximate measurements of Yorkies for creating a pattern, which are used in the following example:

    As you can see from the table, the length of the bitch’s belly is equal to the length of the back - there is no need to measure it, it is set automatically.

    Construction of the base pattern

    Draw a pattern on a wear-resistant material. The resulting pattern will have to be used more than once when making clothes with your own hands.

    Pattern-basis for modeling knitted clothes knots

    You can make a draft on a newspaper, which is then transferred to cardboard or polyethylene:

    1. 1. To construct the back detail, draw a rectangle ABVG, where AB is the length of the back, and BV is 1/3 of the chest circumference (when you turn the pattern, you get 2/3 and 1/3 for the belly detail).
    2. 2. From point A, 1/3 of the neck circumference is laid down and point D is placed.
    3. 3. 3 cm is set aside from point G to the right (the value is constant for small breeds), and point E is placed.
    4. 4. Draw the connecting segment DE. When cutting out a pattern, you need to run the top line along the fold of the paper so that when you turn it around, you get a full-size pattern.
    5. 5. To construct the belly detail of the clothing pattern for the bitch, draw a rectangle ZhZIO, in which ZhZ is the length of the back, ZI is 1/3 of the chest circumference.
    6. 6. From points G and O, put 3 cm to the right (a constant value for small dogs). These are points L and N.
    7. 7. The segment ZhO is divided into 3 equal parts by points K and M.
    8. 8. Draw connecting sections CL, MN.
    9. 9. Patterns for sleeves and trouser legs are made with a fold, that is, in the drawing they are represented as natural halves. They have the shape of rectangles, where the width is the girth of the paw, the length is arbitrary.

    The base pattern for making clothes for male dogs is drawn in the same way:

    Pattern-basis for modeling knitted clothes for a dog

    Only when constructing a belly detail should the side of the belly be equal to the length of the animal’s belly (measurement from the throat to the genitals).

    Calculation of knitting density

    This stage is necessary in order to know how many loops you need to cast on for work. Experienced knitters calculate the number of rows with its help. To do this:

    1. 1. Knit a sample with the selected yarn and selected knitting needles in the pattern with which you plan to knit the product.
    2. 2. The number of loops is divided by the number of centimeters of the width of the sample. This gives the number of loops in one centimeter. For example, 60 stitches were cast on (there is no need to count edge stitches), the width of the sample was 19 cm. When divided, the number obtained is 3.15. The number 3.1 is taken as a basis.

    An example of calculating the number of loops for knitting a collar. Neck girth 22 cm. You need to multiply 22 by 3.1, it turns out 68.2. In this case, you can cast on 70 loops, neglecting tenths and adding 2 edge ones.

    The row density is calculated in the same way. Let's say the sample turned out to be 10 cm long, 22 rows were knitted in it. The number of rows is divided by the number of centimeters (22:10 = 2.2). If you need to knit a piece 31 cm long, multiply 2.2 by 31, you get 68.2. The decimal digit is less than 5, which means it can be neglected. The part will require 68 rows.

    Patterns for knitted items

    Beginning knitters often use embroidery or applique to decorate the finished product. Then to make models it is enough to complete them stockinette stitch.

    More experienced knitters use jacquard, openwork and relief patterns. To make a jacquard pattern you need to be able to work with several balls of yarn different colors. For openwork and relief, one-color yarn is required.

    Drawing diagrams are read from bottom to top. If the diagram shows row numbers 1, 3, 5, this means that all even rows are knitted according to the pattern. If the numbers 2, 4, 6 are indicated, all odd rows are performed according to the picture.

    Jacquard patterns

    The result of this type of knitting is multi-colored pictures. It can be like two-color large patterns, and multi-colored ornaments in stripes. Sometimes masters use small plot pictures.

    Blanket with jacquard pattern "Penguin"

    To make a colored pattern on a product, knit as many stitches in the desired color as are shaded in the pattern. All threads free from work at this time are passed along the wrong side. When you need to change color, working thread they take it inside out, and the one that is needed is included in the work.

    When performing jacquard, the master should not pull together those not involved in at the moment The work involves threads that are laid on the wrong side. They should not be allowed to sag. To avoid large broaches on the wrong side, every 5 loops, the non-working threads are crossed with the working thread.

    Often jacquard patterns carried out according to ready-made schemes.

    Knitting patterns for jacquard patterns "Deer" and "Bunny"

    But you can develop a scheme yourself. To do this, they select and print on graph paper or draw a picture that they plan to knit on the product. Each cell will represent a loop.

    Openwork patterns

    Sweatshirts and dresses for small breed dogs with openwork patterns look beautiful. Chihuahuas are usually the most heat-loving dogs. The owners even prepare summer clothes for them, but not as warm as for winter.

    Openwork jacket for Chihuahua

    Openwork patterns consist of a combination of 2 or 3 knitted stitches and a yarn over. When knitting a yarn over in a purl row, an openwork is formed. Thanks to these “holes” arranged in a pattern, the result is a lightweight product that can be worn in cool weather.

    Looks nice openwork blouse with a pattern "Leaves". The knitting pattern will help you complete the pattern.

    Knitting pattern openwork pattern"Leaves"

    Relief patterns

    Most patterns are made with a combination of purl and knit stitches. They are simple, requiring only precision and accuracy from the master when working.

    Simple pattern "Rhombuses"

    The diagrams show the repeating part of the pattern. It's called a report. Sometimes the report is highlighted in color within the overall scheme, as here, which shows a simple diamond pattern.

    There are many design options. The master, having understood the algorithm for their composition, will be able to “invent” his own pattern quite easily.

    Scheme of the pattern "Simple diamonds", in which all even rows are knitted purl

    When making the “Simple Diamonds” pattern, all even rows are knitted with purl stitches.

    To make knitted clothes, craftsmen use designs that require an additional knitting needle. During the work process, one or more loops are removed from it. Then the next stitches after the removed ones are knitted, temporarily leaving an additional knitting needle out of work. Then the removed loops are knitted. This is how the “braid” pattern is performed. Even rows are knitted according to the pattern, the removed transferred loops are purl.

    Scheme of the "Braid" pattern

    To make diamonds, you also need an additional knitting needle. Only when removing one knit loop and moving it to the right or left in the background purl stitch in even rows it is not knitted, skipping the working thread before knitting. The algorithm of this drawing is shown in the diagram “Rhombuses between braids”. This is an option for combining two patterns in one model. When performing it, you need to remember that even rows for braids and diamonds are knitted differently.

    Pattern pattern "Rhombuses between braids"

    The following instructions for knitting a jumpsuit use the "Diamonds between the braids" pattern in combination with embroidery.

    Stitched overalls for dogs with a funnel collar

    This model can be successfully paired with a Toy Terrier, Chihuahua, Spaniel, larger dog such as a Dachshund, Jack Russell Terrier and even a Boxer. But this model was designed for Yorkies, so in the description of the master class there is a link to this breed.

    To make a jumpsuit, a base pattern without modeling is suitable. It is convenient for beginners. Each detail here is done separately. Then the product is assembled and stitched.

    Grey knitted jumpsuit for Yorkie boy

    For overalls you will need about 100 g of yarn gray(with a density of 300 m / 100 g), as well as 10 g each of red and white for stripes and embroidery.

    Collar

    This part is the simplest. Even an inexperienced craftsman can easily cope with the work using step-by-step knitting instructions:

    1. 1. Calculate the number of loops. 22 * 3.1 = 68.2. Take the approximate value of 68, add 2 edges, you get 70.
    2. 2. Cast on 70 loops of gray yarn on the knitting needles.
    3. 3. Knit 4 rows with a 2X2 elastic band.
    4. 4. Then tie a red thread and knit 4 rows with it. Cut off and tie the end of the thread.
    5. 5. Work similarly with white yarn.

    The collar flap is made at an arbitrary height.

    Back and belly details

    The back and belly need to be knitted at the same time. Therefore, to work, a third of the total number of loops is separated into the belly part (70: 3 = 23.3), which will be approximately 23 loops. A thread of the main yarn is tied to the row. The tummy loops are knitted with it. The remaining 57 stitches will be the back of the overalls. For each part, add one edge loop with a yarn over after 1 loop.

    The first stage of knitting the back is to extend along the shoulders to the armholes. The part is knitted in accordance with the table according to the pattern, following the knitting algorithm, until there are 72 loops in the row. In total, this stage includes 16 rows.

    The pattern is made in accordance with the scheme proposed in the section “Patterns for knitted items”:

    row

    Number of loops

    1 cr., yarn over, 19 elastic band, 28 knots, 19 elastic band, yarn over, 1 cr.

    13 70

    1 cr., knit the yarn over with a crossed pattern, 19 elastic bands, 28 knots, 19 elastic bands, knit the yarn over with a crossed pattern, 1 cr.

    14 70

    1 cr., yarn over, 20 elastic band, 28 knots, 20 elastic band, yarn over, 1 cr.

    15 72

    1 cr., knit the yarn over crossed, 20 with an elastic band, 28 knots, 20 with an elastic band, knit the yarn over with a crossed line, 1 cr.

    16 72

    1 cr., yarn over, 21 elastic band, 28 knots, 21 elastic band, yarn over, 1 cr.

    The tummy detail is knitted with an elastic band (knit 1 and purl 1). In each front row, add 2 loops (yarn over after and before the edge stitch). In the purl row the yarn overs are knitted crossed loops and include elastic bands in the pattern.

    Rows 17-20 are knitted according to the pattern without any additions. Then make the armholes for the sleeves in a simple way. To do this, close 3 loops on each edge of the back and tummy. Now you should continue knitting row 22 according to the pattern. Then from each edge of the back and tummy add 3 air loops. Knitting continues.

    During the knitting process, work is applied to the pattern. When the length of the product reaches the position of the trouser legs, the algorithm for knitting the armhole for female model repeats, but the number of rows will increase to 30. After adding air loops, knit 6 rows according to the pattern and switch to elastic. This completes the detail. A length of 1.5-2 cm is sufficient.

    The men's version of the overalls differs in that before the opening for the trouser leg begins, the belly part is completed by closing the loops.

    Sleeves, trouser legs

    For the sleeves, cast on 33 loops, for the legs - 45, knit with a 2X2 elastic band, making stripes, like on the collar. The length of the sleeves and trousers is arbitrary. After finishing the knitting, they are sewn together on the sides.

    Assembling the overalls

    Before assembling the parts together, decorate the back by embroidering flowers in rhombuses. Then the back and tummy are sewn down to the armholes. Having sewn in the sleeves, continue to sew the product on the sides to the armholes of the trouser legs. After sewing in the legs, sew the seams until the end.

    Knitted sweater for dogs with raglan sleeves: manufacturing instructions

    The most convenient way to knit is raglan on circular knitting needles without a seam. Its advantage is that the front and back are knitted from one ball without breaking the thread. The absence of seams is convenient when worn: things do not put pressure on the dog’s skin, do not rub, or tear.

    Sweater for dogs with raglan sleeves

    Begin knitting a sweater with a raglan sleeve by calculating the loops (see chapter above). Just tie the product on circular knitting needles and knit it with an elastic band in the round. Having knitted a collar of the required length, move on to the stockinette stitch. At the same time, the product begins to expand across the chest.

    There is no need to knit a sweater with raglan sleeves for dogs in the same way as for people, placing the sleeves horizontally (when the back is equal in width to the front of the sweater). The distance between the paws of quadrupeds is 2-3 times less than the back, so the calculation should be different.

    To knit raglan in products for dogs, the number of loops is divided into three parts. One part is marked by making a mark on the outer loops with a colored thread (knots are tied, which are removed after work). The sleeves of the sweater will be located in these places.

    You can add loops for raglan by knitting three in each even row from one loop: knit, yarn over, knit. Increases are made in 4 places in odd rows. Even rows are performed according to the pattern. The first addition of loops occurs on the loops marked with colored knots. Stepping back towards the back, 3 loops per sleeve mark 2 more points on the 4th loop. Thus, we get the following pattern of odd rows with a collar of 70 loops:

    The knitting algorithm is repeated until the number of loops in a row reaches the calculated chest circumference. For example, for a Yorkie from which measurements were taken (chapter “Taking measurements from a dog”) it will be 36 * 3.1 = 111.

    After this, the loops of the sleeves (14 knits between the loops along which the increase was made) are transferred to the reserve on the thread, and the row goes in a circle from the back to the front, without catching the bottom. In this way, a sweater of the required length is knitted using stockinette stitch, the loops are closed, and the thread is broken.

    The sleeve loops are transferred to circular knitting needles, a working thread is tied and knitted in the round using stockinette stitch. Once the desired size is reached, the row is closed and the thread is cut.

    You can decorate a sweater with embroidery, decorative details, buttons, and pom-poms.

Winter is just around the corner, and it's time to think about how to knit a warm sweater for your dog. This is especially true for small pets and for animals that do not have hair. There are many such dog breeds, and they need our care and warmth like no other breed. How to knit a sweater for your beloved dog or create one from an old human one?

Choosing a model

Before you start creating a real work of art from threads - dog clothes, you should decide which model to choose. Your choice will be made by your skills, the size and build of your pet, its breed, as well as weather conditions.

Selecting yarn and tools

What might you need to knit a sweater for a dog? The list of tools and materials is small, but it can be supplemented with other elements depending on the chosen model.

Minimum knitting set:

  • yarn;
  • hook or knitting needles;
  • scissors;
  • needle;
  • threads

You may also need buckles, buttons, zippers, ribbons and other accessories to decorate and improve the functionality of a knitted item. Threads will be needed to sew together different parts of the future suit.

What to knit from?

Most main element The material needed to create a knitted item is yarn. Her choice must be taken with full responsibility.
To make a dog sweater warm and keep you warm in cold weather, it is best to take wool or acrylic yarn. The first one is completely natural material, which holds heat well and for a long time. But it has a minus - the product will quickly stretch out and become pellet-like.

Acrylic - yarn made from artificial wool, synthetics. Very durable and can have very bright color. But its main disadvantage is the ability to accumulate static electricity, which will cause discomfort to the dog.

Cotton yarn is the best option when it comes to dog breeds with fur. But it is too thin to retain heat in cold weather.

Based on the above, we can conclude that it is best to use mixed yarn for knitted dog clothes. Products made from it will wash well, last a long time and will not lose their appearance.

Remaking an old sweater

If you do not have knitting skills, you can create a blouse for your dog from your old sweater. For the doggie small breed Doll clothes or a child’s blouse will do just fine, but a large dog can easily fit into a sweatshirt. But such wardrobe items will require some modification.

The waist of a human sweater will be large for any breed of dog, so you can sew an elastic band there to narrow the volume of an old sweater. You can cut a fabric item and then sew the edges again, adjusting it to the size of the dog, but this option will not work with a knitted item. If you cut a sweater, it will simply unravel. So here only the option using an elastic band is suitable.

How to knit it yourself?

What could it be prettier clothes for a dog created independently? Here you can let your imagination flutter and come up with absolutely any variations of models. But making a dog jacket with your own hands is a long, painstaking, but very interesting task.

Taking measurements

Before you start knitting dog clothes, you should decide on its size. To do this, we take measurements from the pet. Depending on the selected clothing model, the number of measurements may vary. We'll tell you how to take measurements for a sweater.

To get started, prepare a pen, a piece of paper and a measuring tape and call your dog to you. Give the command “Stand” and, picking up a centimeter, begin taking measurements:

  • chest circumference – at the fullest part;
  • neck circumference - in the place where it is widest;
  • back length - from the point where the neck meets the back to the tail;
  • leg height – from armpit to pastern;
  • leg circumference – at the thickest point.

These measurements will be enough to sew or knit a sweater with sleeves for your dog. If you want to create a jumpsuit, you need to measure the distance between the front and back legs, waist circumference, hip circumference, and the height of the hind legs. How to take measurements to sew or knit an outfit is described in the following video.

Materials and tools

To create a knitted sweater or vest for your pet, you will need:

  • crochet hook or knitting needles (depending on what you own);
  • required amount of yarn;
  • knitting pattern;
  • patterns built to your dog's measurements;
  • scissors;
  • threads and needles to sew parts;
  • rubber.

Instructions

Instructions for creating clothes for a dog will directly depend on the chosen model and knitting pattern. But there are several points that will be common to almost all models.

  • To begin with, depending on the chosen yarn, you should calculate the number of loops per 1 cm. Then we calculate how many of them are needed in accordance with the measurements of the animal. To do this, we knit a small sample of the pattern.
  • We knit each part of the sweater separately: the back, sleeves, chest, collar and elastic at the waist.
  • In some cases, you can knit an item in the round - this option is suitable for vests.
  • We knit the blanket with a continuous thread, almost without interruption.
  • If you are knitting a sweater, then, having created each of its parts separately, you must connect them together. This can be done by tying the pieces together or sewing them together.
  • Lastly, when the control fitting is done, the collar and elastic at the waist are knitted.
  • Sometimes you can do without long sleeves– then the sweater is knitted according to the vest principle. Small sleeves are simply attached to the almost finished product.

Sweater for a small dog

Knitting sweaters for small dogs practically no different from creating the same copy of clothing for a larger brother. The only difference is that for children it is often necessary to create not one, but several clothes per change. After all large dog you don’t need to dress it as often as a baby Chishka or Toya, for whom any cold is like death. Such breeds are very difficult to tolerate frost.

We knit a dog blouse, always starting from the collar, and towards the end of the product we reduce the number of loops so that the sweater is fitted. Below are several patterns that are suitable for knitting dog clothes.

Sweater N1 with elastic bands on the sides of the stomach. In the photo on that terrier.

We knit the product on top. On knitting needles N1 (2), we cast on 57 loops in one thread and knit in the round, with an elastic band of 1x1, 20 rows. Next, change the knitting needles to N4 (5) and add a second thread, knitting 1 more row. Divide the knitting into two parts on the sides of the sweater. We knit the back 7 cm with English elastic (to the end of the sweater). We remove one thread and knit with a regular elastic band 1x1 - 10 rows, close the loops. The back is ready. Let's go back to the beginning. We knit with an English elastic band in front of 6 centimeters. Next, you need to close the loops for the sleeves (holes for the paws). We begin to bind off the loops: bind off 10 loops, knit the next 6 loops as usual (with an English elastic band) and bind off another 10 loops. Now we knit the breast with an English elastic band. So the structure of dogs is different, so that the sweater fits better, we knit the chest 7 cm. Now we add 5 loops on both sides (we closed 10 each, and now add 5 each). We knit in front of 7 cm, remove 1 thread and knit with a regular 1x1 elastic band in one thread for 10 rows, close the loops.
Next, you need to knit the side elastic bands of the sweater. To do this, you need to cast on loops on each side of the jacket, i.e. on the back on both sides and on the front on both sides. On each side we cast on 36 loops in one thread using thin knitting needles. And we knit the side elastic bands in 10 rows, not forgetting to make buttonholes for the buttons on the elastic bands that will be on the back. We close all the loops. We sew the opposite parts of the elastic bands (we sew the back elastic along the edge to the front elastic, in the place where the sleeve will be (armpit). We collect loops from the holes for the sleeves into one thread. We knit with a regular 1x1 elastic on thin knitting needles for 15 rows. Cast off the loops.
Ready!!!

Sweater N2 with button neck. Pictured is a Chihuahua.

We knit the product on top. On knitting needles N1 (2), we cast on 57 loops in one thread and knit with a 1x1 elastic band in regular knitting, 18 rows, not forgetting to make two buttonholes at the edge. We close the knitting in a circle and knit 4 more rows with an elastic band in a circle. Next, change the knitting needles to N4 (5) and add a second thread, knitting 1 more row. Divide the knitting into two parts on the sides of the sweater. We knit the back 7 cm with English elastic (to the end of the sweater). We remove one thread and knit with a regular elastic band 1x1 - 20 rows, close the loops. The back is ready. Let's go back to the beginning. So the structure of dogs is different, so that the sweater fits better, we knit the chest 7 cm. Now we add 10 loops on both sides (those that were closed for cutting out the sleeves). We knit in front of 7 cm, remove 1 thread and knit with a regular 1x1 elastic band in one thread for 10 rows, close the loops. We sew the opposite parts of the sweater on the sides. We collect loops from the holes for the sleeves into one thread. We knit with a regular 1x1 elastic band on thin knitting needles for 15 rows. We close the loops.

Chihuahua hat.

Knitting a hat is very simple. We cast on 20 loops in one thread on thin knitting needles. We knit 1x1 - 5 rows with an elastic band, add a second thread and switch to thick knitting needles. We knit 2 rows with a 1x1 rib and switch to an English rib. We knit a scarf with an English elastic band - approximately 45 cm, knit 2 rows with a regular 1x1 elastic band, remove one thread, switch to thin knitting needles, knit 5 rows. We close the loops. Don’t forget to make a buttonhole on one edge, and sew on a button on the other side. Fold the scarf in half and sew it with a 7 cm corner. Sew a pompom or tassel onto the corner.

Knitting pattern for a sweater for a Chihuahua and a Toy Terrier.

When making clothes for a toy terrier with your own hands, patterns play an extremely important role in this process. Be sure to make them directly according to the size of the dog. Therefore, you first need to take measurements from the animal.

Correct cut is an important element in making clothing for dogs.

Taking measurements from your pet and creating a pattern before sewing is extremely necessary, since sewing clothes for a toy terrier “by eye” means dooming both the animal and its owner to suffering. After all, an uncomfortable outfit can press or rub the poor dog’s skin and hinder his movements. And putting tight clothing on a pet who is doing its best to interfere with this process is not just torment, it is an atrocity towards the pet.

Necessary measurements for sewing dog clothes

The main dimensions required for cutting are the length of the body from the withers to the beginning of the tail, the girth of the chest and the distance from the beginning of the neck to the front paws. If you plan to make a thing with “sleeves” and “pants”, then you will also need to measure the length of the paws - separately the front and back ones. The distance between the front and hind legs also plays an important role when creating a pattern drawing.

Cutting and sewing a cape

The easiest dog clothing to make is a cape. Made from raincoat fabric, it will protect the animal from the rain. In cool weather, the Toy Terrier will need warmer clothing. You can make cape patterns with your own hands quite simply. Having constructed the drawing according to the measurements, the craftswoman places it on the fabric folded in half so that the upper straight pattern is directed along the fold line of the material. When cutting, allowances should be made for seams along the entire perimeter of the part. Fasteners should also be provided. Often, in order for the cape to stay on the animal and not fall off, belts are used, preferably sewn into the sides. the number of loops is calculated depending on the measurements of the animal. To avoid making a mistake with the quantity, knit a sample of the selected pattern to use it to calculate how many loops you will need.

if you are going to knit a sweater, then knit each detail separately (back, sleeve, chest, collar). And then sew them together.

Use the step-by-step knitting instructions to knit a sweater for your Toy Terrier.

  • Based on the volume of the chest, we cast on loops. The approximate number for a toy terrier is 88 loops.
  • Start knitting from the collar area. If your toy terrier is a mini, then reduce the number of loops by 20 pieces.
  • Having cast on the loops, start knitting with a regular elastic band about four centimeters.
  • Next, divide the loops into five identical parts and knit the first two with an elastic band, then the middle part with the stockinette stitch, and again two parts with an elastic band.
  • add the number of loops to the chest circumference.
  • after about 6-7 centimeters we begin to leave slits for the paws.
  • having reached the end of the product (we are guided by the length of the item). We transfer the loops to different knitting needles and knit the back with stockinette stitch.
  • closer to the end of the item, begin to narrow the sweater so that it does not hang on it like a shapeless rag.
  • We tie an elastic band around the edge of the sweater.
  • The sweater should be sewn using edge loops.
