* Pre-holiday days, in which the duration of work is reduced by one hour.
All Russians, without exception, are concerned about the work schedule, which will be approved by the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation for 2017, in order to plan their leisure time, distributing working hours and rest days as conveniently and productively as possible.
It should be noted that at the beginning of June 2016, the Ministry of Labor presented a draft resolution that regulates transfer of days off next 2017 in Russia. This is not yet an approved document, but only a draft, but based on the experience of past years, it is most likely that all weekends and holidays in 2017, designated in the draft by the Ministry of Labor, will be finally approved without any changes.

How to relax on New Year's holidays 2017
Traditionally, the New Year begins with a holiday vacation, which will delight not only schoolchildren and students, but also all adults working according to the work schedule established by the State Duma (see).
With a 5-day work week, December 31, 2016 will be a day off, providing an excellent opportunity to thoroughly prepare for upcoming celebration. In addition, scheduled days off related to the New Year holidays are expected from January 1st to 6th. January 7 is an official non-working day in honor of the Nativity of Christ, since it falls on a Saturday, therefore the day off will be moved to May 8 in order to extend the number of days off for the May holidays. January 8th is Sunday, a legal day off.
To summarize, let's say that the New Year holidays 2017 will last from December 31 to January 8, that is, their duration will be 9 days.
How we will relax on February 23, 2017
Traditionally, Defender of the Fatherland Day is celebrated on February 23 and is a non-working day. In 2017, this holiday falls on Thursday. In order to combine the holiday Thursday with the weekend, the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation approved the postponement of the holiday on January 1 to February 24, i.e., the weekend will last from February 23 to February 26 inclusive, i.e. We rest for 4 days in total.
How we will relax on March 8, 2017
International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8th, which falls on Wednesday in the coming year. There are no plans to postpone this event, therefore, in March there will be only one holiday - March 8 itself.
Weekend for May holidays 2017
Based on the draft resolution from the Ministry of Labor, we will rest for the upcoming May holidays in 2017 as follows:
The Spring and Labor Festival will give Russians the opportunity to enjoy spring warmth and relaxation time from April 29 to May 1. On Victory Day we have 4 more days off – from May 6 (Saturday) to May 9 (Tuesday), taking into account the postponement of the day off from January 7 to May 8.
Holidays in June 2017
On June 12, 2017, another big one will be celebrated - Russia Day. In honor of this event, all citizens of our country are given the opportunity to take a break from everyday work for 3 days - from June 10 (Saturday) to June 12 (Monday).
Holidays in November 2017 in Russia
National Unity Day means 3 days off - from November 4 (Saturday) to November 6 (Monday).
In total, in 2017 there will be 118 days of weekends and holidays. In total, 247 working days or 1973 working hours are expected for the entire coming year. time.
