As a general rule, work on weekends and public holidays is prohibited (Article 113 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation). However, there are exceptions to this rule.
So, it is possible to attract an employee to work on a weekend / non-working holiday if there is a need to carry out unforeseen work, the further normal functioning of the organization depends on the urgent work. In this case, it is possible to attract an employee only with his written consent.
