Shift workers work according to the schedule established for them.

  • 24-hour – 81.6 hours (4.8 hours × 17 days).

Holidays in January 2020, paid double

There is a category of workers whose rest schedule is different from how the country rests for the New Year holidays 2020. These are employees with a shift schedule. These people will not be able to take a long rest for the New Year; their task is to ensure the process of the enterprise’s activities in a non-stop mode. Their work on holidays is compensated according to one of the following options:

  • rest similar in duration to work on holidays;
  • remuneration in double the amount of salary, rate.

The employee decides which option is more convenient for him. All other workers who work on a five- or six-day schedule have a similar choice.

According to Art. 153 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, work on weekends and non-working holidays is subject to payment at least double the amount. These will be in January:

  • 01/01/2019 (holiday);
  • 01/07/2019 (holiday);
  • 01/02/2019 - 01/06/2019 (weekends);
  • 01/08/2019 (day off).

The government approved the number of days off

The schedule of New Year and May holidays for 2020 has already been approved at the legislative level by the Russian government. The New Year's holiday for Russians will be a little shorter this year. There will also be a transfer of days in order to increase the May holidays. This information should be obtained in advance, especially for those planning trips during these periods.

There is very little time left until the beginning of 2020, and many Russians are already thinking about how to plan a vacation for a long weekend, which traditionally coincides annually with major holidays such as New Year and May.

Their duration can reach more than a week, so during this period many plan to go somewhere. Therefore, it is better to find out about the weekend in advance in order to prepare and buy tickets in advance, since on the New Year and May holidays it is not always possible to do this at the last moment. Demand for tickets is increasing greatly. In some destinations it is worth making reservations several months in advance.

The upcoming New Year holidays will be slightly shorter than in 2019. Then Russians rested for 10 whole days, but now their number has been reduced to 8. At the same time, most of the country’s population goes to work on December 31, since they fall on Mondays and Tuesdays, respectively.

You need to count 8 days of rest starting from January 1. Everyone will go to work on January 9, after celebrating New Year and Christmas. Further in January, days off will be according to the production calendar only on Saturdays and Sundays.

May holidays for Russians in 2020

In addition to relaxing during the New Year, residents of the country are also concerned about how the state will allocate weekends during May holidays. Again, at this time, some people go on vacation, and others go to the dacha to plant a vegetable garden.

The government has decided that January 4 and 5, 2020 will be moved to May this year as holidays. The fact is that they fall on Saturday and Sunday, which are already the days when everyone rests. Thus, May 4 and 5, 2020 are set as public holidays in the country. Thus, it turns out that for the May holidays Russians will rest from May 1 to May 5. This is the weekend that coincides with the Labor Day holiday.

The second rest period this month will be associated with the celebration of Victory Day. Traditionally this happens on May 9th. This year this date falls on a Saturday, so residents of the country are given an additional day off on May 11, 2019. It is worth noting that the celebration of Victory Day in 2020 will be very large-scale, since it will be the 75th anniversary.

Thus, the May holidays should be divided into 2 periods: from May 1 to May 5 and from May 9 to 11. At this time everyone is resting. You will only have to work on May 6, 7 and 8. At the same time, some companies that are not subordinate to the state may offer rest to employees on these days in return for working these days on Saturdays.

Holidays in 2020 according to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation

Non-working holidays are:

  • January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 - New Year
  • January 7 - Christmas
  • February 23 - Defender of the Fatherland Day
  • March 8 - International Women's Day
  • May 1 - Spring and Labor Day
  • May 9 - Victory Day
  • June 12 - Russia Day
  • November 4 - Day national unity

The government is moving the weekend of January 4 and 5 (Saturday and Sunday) to May 4 and 5, respectively (Monday and Tuesday). In this case, 4 and 5 remain idle.

How do we work and relax in January 2019 after the New Year holidays? What is the production calendar for 2019? What are the weekends in January and what are the working days? We present an overview of the work calendar for January 2019.

January holidays 2019: how many days

The number of days off in January 2019 is fixed by Article 112 Labor Code RF. This norm determines how we relax in January 2019 and how long the official weekend lasts.

Non-working holidays (weekends) in January 2019 are:

  • January 1-6, 8 – these are the “New Year holidays” of 2019;
  • January 7 – Christmas (for believers).

Thus, according to the law, eight days are holidays in January - from the 1st to the 8th.

Please note that the weekends in January 2019 will begin at the end of this year. Since December 31, 2018 is Monday, it was decided that Russians will work for the last time this year on December 29, Saturday. That is, the holiday will begin on December 30 and last until January 8 of the next year.

Postponement of January holidays

If a holiday coincides with a weekend (Saturday or Sunday), employees are given another day of rest.

On the weekend in January 2019 there are just 2 holidays - the 5th and 6th. These two additional days of rest are moved to May 2 and 3. Therefore, the May holidays will last for five whole days - from May 1 to May 5.

Production calendar for January 2019

In January 2019, most workers expect 8 holidays. Regular weekends are also added to them - Saturday and Sunday. For example, when going to work on the 9th, citizens will work only 3 days, and again continue to rest on the weekend, since January 9th is Wednesday.

Do you already know, dear readers, how we relax on New Year 2019 and on weekends during the January holidays? Do you know what official holidays the New Year holidays will be in each month? Not yet, then we will “tell you.”

On the agenda is the calendar of holidays and weekends in 2019 in Russia: New Year's January holidays, May holidays, March 8, February 23, November and the transfer of weekends.

Let's get straight to the point. The Russian Ministry of Labor, as always, is concerned about order in advance New Year holidays. So they already met in March of this year and decided (preliminarily) that:

  1. The official holiday for the New Year will be 10 days - from December 30, 2018 to January 8, 2019 (inclusive);
  2. For the May holidays 2019, Russians will rest from May 1 to May 5 and from May 9 to 12;
  3. And also on February 23 from February 23 to 24;
  4. On March 8 - from March 8 to March 10 (inclusive);
  5. For November - from November 2 to 4.

Official holidays for New Year 2019 and January holidays

This year there are two options for the New Year holidays (possible):

  1. For the New Year we take a full 12 days off – from December 30 to January 10. The option is the most desirable for all Russians.
  2. 10 days (from 12/30/18 to 01/8/19) - optimistic, more accurate and most likely approved, and therefore official (the Ministry of Labor proposed this option for consideration).

How are we relaxing for the New Year 2019? Postponement of days off that fall on New Year's holidays

Saturday December 29 in 2018 will be a working day for Russians. But it will be transferred as a day off to Monday, December 31st.

January 5 and 6, 2019 fall on Saturday and Sunday (and these days are always included in the annual New Year holidays), which means it will be postponed. And the transfer “flies away” for the May holidays - on May 2 and 3, respectively.

January 7 – Christmas – big celebration, which means we’re officially resting, even if it’s Monday.

So, let’s summarize how we rest for the New Year 2019 and the transfer of days off that fall on the January holidays:

  • We celebrate New Year and Christmas from December 30 to January 8 inclusive!
  • Working Monday, December 31, is moved to Saturday, December 29 (this is a calendar day off, but there will be a working day - most likely a short one).
  • January 5 – May 2.
  • January 6 – May 3.

This applies to the first month of 2019. Are there still long holidays?

How do we relax during the May holidays in 2019 (postponement of weekends)?

As mentioned above, the January holidays of January 5 and 6 are official weekends, so they decided to move them to the May holidays of May 2 and 3.

And this month we will have 2 celebrations: Victory Day and Spring and Labor Day.

It turns out that Russian workers will have a rest in May from May 1 to May 5 - spring parties and from May 9 to 12 - Victory Day celebrations.

Here's what we really need to know. Now take a look at the production calendar.

February holidays 2019

Let's start in order, and next we have February. And this means February 23rd. Well, everything is simple here, February 23 falls on a Saturday - it is an official day off and at the same time a holiday. It turns out that the calendar day off is being moved to Friday, May 10th.

March

March and International Women's Day calendar - March 8th (). It is clear that March 8 is a holiday, and this year it falls on a Friday, which means a day off. And then further on the calendar there are official ones: Saturday, March 9 and Sunday, March 10.

April

April is a normal month. And this year it will not change - it will be held in working mode.

May

First May. May 1 is a public holiday anyway, and May 2 and 3 will be red days due to the transfer from January holidays January 5th and 6th. Thus, the first long weekend in May 2019 is from May 1 to May 5.

And then another long weekend - from May 9 to 12. May 9 – Victory Day, Thursday. Friday May 10th will be a day off this time - postponed from February 23rd.

June

This year, Russia Day falls in the middle of the working week - June 12 - Wednesday. This means that Russians will be able to rest for only 1 (one) day.

November holidays in 2019 - how we relax

The Day of National Unity and Militia in Russia, November 4, falls exactly on Monday - this Monday will be a day off. And the previous Saturday and Sunday, November 2 and 3, are still weekends according to the calendar.

It turns out that in 2019 Russians will be able to relax on November holidays 3 (three) days - from November 2 to 4.

December

And the final one, December 2019. In this month, so that all of Russia will meet and celebrate the New Year 2020, according to the calendar, it turns out to rest not like in previous years - 10 days, but only 8 days. Since January 1st falls on Wednesday. But maybe those at the top will decide that December 31st is Monday, not that it’s a shortened working day, it’s not even productive. And perhaps the January holidays will somehow be increased.

December 31 - On this day, people are already in the mood for gifts and celebrations, and are preparing with all their might. All of them have no time for work, and if they find themselves at the workplace, they do everything but work.

Official weekends and holidays in 2019 – How much rest do we have?

The decree of the Government of the Russian Federation provides for the postponement of the following days off in 2019:

  • from Saturday 5 January to Thursday 2 May;
  • from Sunday 6 January to Friday 3 May;
  • from Saturday 23 February to Friday 10 May.

Therefore, a picture emerges of holidays for the whole year:

  • February 23–24 – in honor of Defender of the Fatherland Day;

2019 is the year of which animal according to the eastern horoscope

Briefly: 2019 is the year of the Pig or Yellow Earth Boar according to the Eastern Chinese horoscope. And in our understanding, a pig is a kind animal, but it loves expensive gifts. The Pig is also a spender and loves freedom and beauty. She cannot be alone and does not tolerate betrayal.

The Pig also believes in fairy tales and magical miracles. This is a humorous zodiac sign and often loves to joke and laugh.

To choose New Year's gift for the Yellow Pig, you must remember that she loves everything beautiful, practical and expensive that brings joy.

How to celebrate the New Year of the Pig 2019

So the New Year of the Yellow Pig should be celebrated like this (?):

  1. Among friends and loved ones, with family and relatives. The pig loves noisy companies.
  2. On New Year's table There are no restrictions on food options. But Boar loves mushrooms most of all, and this product is “heavy” to digest. And it’s as if such an animal does not accept meat, especially pork. But what about without meat? Solution: serve meat salads and appetizers made from chicken meat (easier, cheaper and easy to get). All fruits and citrus fruits are just right. Check out new and interesting ideas: What to cook for New Year 2019 recipes with photos.
  3. Clothes for the holiday are chosen in yellow shades (brown and green), with the addition of red and gold. “Spicy mustard” is the chic fashion of 2019. The pig is not a very modest animal - quite the contrary, so anything - maxi and mini skirts, shorts and tight dresses, jumpsuits and super-shiny dresses.
  4. Decorations for the New Year. Rumor has it that Kabanchik is “not a miss”, and it will come in handy as a “golden piece” in your New Year’s wardrobe. Just don't overdo it!
  5. Home comfort. If you have the opportunity, decorate your apartment or house in yellow, gold, and red: tinsel, snowflakes, ribbons. Christmas tree– a beauty, we see her in mixed gold and red balloons, plus not a lot of tinsel and “rain”.
