Wives and husbands. About weddings, partners and divorces (Console commands) Who can you marry in skyrim full list

"Skyrim" has become the very game in which there is where to roam. You can devote most of your time to completing the main story or side quests, you can turn into a vampire, become a craftsman, and even get married. Today we will share with our readers important secrets on how to find a wife in Skyrim.

To marry or not to marry?

Getting married in Skyrim has become a real beautiful ritual. It will not be difficult to complete it, therefore, if you want to diversify your usual gameplay, we strongly recommend that you take a closer look at the local beauties.

If the question of how to find a wife in Skyrim haunts you, you should visit the tavern in Riften. Inside will sit the priest Marmala, who devoted his whole life to serving the goddess Mara. If you complete his task, then you will be rewarded with a love amulet, intended for those who are interested in marriage. It is also worth noting that if this is not the first passage and it lasts for a sufficiently long time, then it is possible to find the amulet in other locations.

Below is a list of wives in Skyrim. For the convenience of readers, all candidates are divided according to the principle of origin and race. If none of the standard heroines could like it, then there is an opportunity to install a mod in Skyrim on your wife. Thanks to him, the list is noticeably expanding, there are additional options for interacting with the chosen ones. Cheats for "Skyrim" for a wife can be found on any thematic sites, in the relevant discussions.

How does this happen?

In order to propose to your chosen one, you need to put on the very amulet of Mary. So how do you find a wife in Skyrim? Recall that many of the heroines available for marriage are listed in our list. If they still fail to make an offer, then it is worth checking whether all the quests associated with them have been completed.

In the case when the chosen one has given her consent, the next step will be a 24-hour wait. When the time expires, you need to go to the temple of Mary, where a romantic wedding ceremony will be held. After that, the newlyweds must make a choice in favor of the future place of residence. If Dovakin already has housing, then you can immediately transport your spouse there (with a few exceptions).

So, you managed to get married in Skyrim (as indicated by the instructions above). After marriage, the second half becomes the head of a small trading shop with a fairly modest income. If you go to sleep on the same bed with your new wife, then the growth of all available skills will increase by fifteen percent. Another nice bonus will be homemade food that the spouse will cook every day.

Wives and husbands in Skyrim are associated with various interesting quests. For example, if a decision is made to become a vampire, then you can turn your soulmate into the creation of darkness. Also, a wife or husband can be kidnapped by bandits or the same vampires - with such a development of events, you must immediately go in search.

By the way, it is very important to really make a choice before finding a wife in Skyrim. The fact is that the game world does not provide for divorce, which means that even death cannot separate you from your soulmate. If the wife dies, then it simply will not work to marry a new chosen one.

How to marry the Nords in Skyrim?

  • Ayla. Her place of residence is Whiterun. To propose to her, you must complete the Companions questline. Aela can be taken as a companion, as she is an excellent archer.
  • Airy. Lives in the village of Anga. Can get married immediately after delivering her message. By the way, Airi is much older than Dovahkiin.
  • And she. Appears if you achieve the title of tan of Riften. In the role of a combat partner, she serves as a tank.
  • Mjoll the Lioness. Follow her to Riften. For a wedding, it is very important to pump Dovakin to the fifteenth level, and also to master the lost fierce blade. In battle, Mjol shows his best side. You can learn many interesting stories from her, as well as meet her brother Eirin, who will follow you around. Sometimes he gets into fights.
  • Nyada. Like Aela, she can be found with the Companions. The conditions remain the same - you must complete the entire quest chain. Nyada can be made a companion, but she is very bad in combat.
  • Temba. Follow her to the sawmill in Ivested. To make an offer, you must complete one quest.

  • Utgerd. For this bride, you need to go to Whiterun, to the Prancing Mare. Will agree to marriage if he manages to defeat her in a fair fight. She can play the role of an archer, but during close battles, due to her low level, she should stay out of danger.

Beautiful wives in Skyrim: Bretons and Imperials

  • Muiri: lives in Markarth, in the "Witch's Tincture". Agrees to marriage after all her quests are completed. Outwardly beautiful, but as a combat companion is absolutely useless.
  • Senna: is a priestess. To marry her, you need to go to the temple of Dibella, which is located in the city of Markarth. Marries Dovakin only after her quest is completed. Senna can be taken to her home, after which she will open a trading shop.
  • Camille: Dwells in the Riverwood Trader. To win the girl's heart, you must first complete her task, and then take two suitors away from her, accusing each of them of lying.
  • Viola: lives in the city of Windhelm, in her own house. You need to complete her personal quest. As a combat partner, she is useless.

Marrying Dunmers

  • it can be found in Winterhold, next to the college. We complete her quest and boldly take her as a wife. Thanks to his abilities, he helps a lot in combat.
  • Jenassa: lives in the "Drunken Hunter", which is located in Whiterun. Before making an offer to her, you need to buy her services as a warrior for five hundred gold coins.
  • Avruza: follow her to the Sareti farm. Agrees to marry after completing her quests. As a companion is rather weak.

We marry an orc

  • Borgak: Dwells in Mor Khazgur. She will agree to marry only if Dovakin convinces her to leave her native place for him. Works great in close combat.
  • Gorza: lives near the smelter in the city of Markarth. Complete her quest and get the orc bride.

We tie the knot with an Argonian and an Altmer

Shavi: All lizard lovers should go to Windhelm. There, somewhere on the territory of the Argonian block, a rather exotic bride is waiting for her chosen one, for whom you will have to go through a small quest.

Tari: lives in the city of Solitude, in the Shining Clothes shop. For her, as for most heroines in Skyrim, you need to complete a personal quest. As a combat partner, she is nothing special.

In Skyrim, along with adventure, exploration of mysterious places, dragon raids and vampire attacks, there is also a place for love. The main character can marry many characters, regardless of race, gender and age. To do this, you must complete the quest "Marriage Ties", in which you will have to talk with Mara's servant, the priest Maramal from Riften. You will also need to equip Mary's amulet, which will tell potential spouse candidates that the main character is not averse to marrying. After a character suitable for marriage is found who treats the main character well enough, consent to marriage must be obtained from him / her, and then appear at the wedding ceremony in the temple of Mara.

After the wedding, it is possible to discuss the place of joint residence with the spouse. If the main character has his own house, then the spouse can move in with him. In addition, if the second half of the protagonist owns real estate, then you can go to live with him / her. Marriage provides some advantages, in that the spouse can open a trading shop that brings income to the family, as well as periodically indulge the main character with homemade food. The character chosen as a spouse receives protected status.

There are several ways to get Mara's amulet. The easiest one is to go to Riften's Temple of Mara and buy one from Maramal for 200 Septims. However, these amulets can be found randomly while traveling or sold by merchants. One of the amulets can be obtained during the "Book of Love" quest, and it will be given to the main character at the end of the quest.

The protagonist will not be able to propose marriage to anyone without first talking to Maramal, even if he already has Mary's amulet. Maramal can be found in the temple of Mary, but the first meeting with him will take place in the tavern "Bee and Sting".

When the main character speaks to a character available for marriage, he may notice the amulet. In order for this to become possible, it is necessary to complete some task for this character. If a character is available for marriage, the Radiant AI system may not allow marriage with him, even if his task was completed. Therefore, just in case, it is better to choose a “reserve” candidate.

Candidates can be asked: Do you like me?". He / she will answer, but they will also be interested in the opinion of the protagonist. If the protagonist agrees, preparations for marriage can begin. To do this, you will have to return to the temple of Mary and organize a ceremony by talking with Maramal again. Now you can leave the temple, and then wait 24 hours until the entry in the quest log appears " Show up for your own wedding". Now you can return to the temple, and the wedding will begin.

marriage ceremony

Maramal opens the wedding ceremony with the words: “ And here is our beautiful bride / our happy groom. Let's start the ceremony. Mara gave life to all things and since then has been looking after us as her children. Her love for us taught us to love each other. Her love showed us that a life lived alone is not a life at all. We are gathered here today, under the loving gaze of Mara, to witness the eternal union of two souls. May they be inseparable in this life and the next, in wealth and in poverty, in joy and in sorrow. Are you willing to love to tie your lives together - now and forever?»

The potential spouse of the protagonist will answer: “ Yes. Now and Forever". Maramal will ask the same question to the protagonist, to which you can choose one of two answers:

  • "Yes. Now and Forever"- Maramal will continue the ceremony with the words: “ By the authority vested in me by Mara, goddess of love, I pronounce you husband and wife. I present to you both these rings, blessed by the grace of Mara. May they keep you in your life together».
  • "Stop the wedding! I don't want to get married!"- Maramal will be surprised and say: “ Do you want to leave your partner? Get out of the temple". If you try to speak to a rejected candidate, he or she will only say: “ Get out of my sight” or another remark in the same vein. Temple priests and guests of the ceremony will be much more concise, saying simply " Go away" or " Leave».

If the ceremony is completed as expected, the guests will congratulate the newlyweds. Before leaving the temple, the hero must talk with his spouse, discussing the conditions for living together. The second half will talk about it herself, saying something like: “ Finally we are married. Perhaps we should decide where to live? If you want, we can stay with me". You have to make a choice between the protagonist's house and the home of the newly-made spouse. This is not important, because in the future it will be possible to move to another house.

After the wedding, the protagonist's spouse opens a trading shop. Now the main character can ask the other half about the amount that they managed to gain by trading. The next day, it will be possible to receive a daily income of 100 septims. In addition, if the spouse has moved to the main character's house, then there will always be a merchant at hand with whom you can trade various goods. However, trading with your own soulmate does not affect the daily income - it will still be 100 coins.

If the protagonist abandoned the potential spouse at the altar, then he or she can be spoken to later at their usual place of residence. When meeting, he/she will express extreme indignation at the behavior of the protagonist, uttering a phrase like " What do you want? There is nothing to talk about!» There are two possible answers to this remark:

  • “It was a mistake. Can we start all over again?"- the abandoned candidate will forgive the hero, giving him a second chance to marry. After that, you need to talk again with Maramal, who will forgive the main character and agree to a second ceremony. You can repeat the whole process several times until you are sure that you made the right choice, or you can choose the option below.
  • "What makes you think that I love you?"- after these words, the protagonist will no longer be able to marry this character. Also, the abandoned candidate will begin to despise the main character. However, the possibility of marriage with another suitable character remains.

Benefits of Marriage

  • Once a day, the spouse will prepare a homemade meal, the use of which speeds up the restoration of health, stamina and magic by 25% for 600 seconds.
  • Spouses who are companions can still follow the main character at his request, equipment and other items can be exchanged with them. In addition, as spouses, they will cook home-cooked meals, even when they are far from home.
  • Husband / wife can sometimes give something.
  • Husband / wife will open a store that generates an income of 100 Septims per day.
    • If the spouse accompanies the protagonist as a companion, then you can trade right on the way. However, on the way, the trade function may be incomplete: in the trade menu, the spouse will only have things in his/her inventory, and there will be no cash (even if you buy something, the number will not change), which excludes the possibility of him/her sell something. In this case, you need to go to the house where the spouse lives, in which the spouse will have money.
    • If the character was a merchant before marriage, then he or she will have the same goods on sale that were in stock before marriage. If the character was not a merchant, then he or she will trade in all sorts of things and some of the things that are in their inventory.
    • If you buy things that are in your spouse's inventory, then they will disappear from there.
    • You should not worry that the spouse will sell to someone the things given to them for safekeeping. Like the other merchants in the game, they actually only trade with the player character.
    • Husband's product range is random and appears to be updated once a day (along with a daily income that can be requested from the other half).
    • The spouse will not give any discounts to the protagonist - the price level still depends on the mastery of the protagonist's eloquence.
  • Sleeping (even for just one hour) next to your significant other grants the temporary Embrace of Love ability - all skills grow 15% faster for 8 hours. It is worth noting that this bonus can be obtained even when using a bed that does not belong to the main character, including in dungeons and other locations, provided that there are no enemies nearby. Thus, this ability takes on a special value if the spouse is a companion.
    • This effect stacks with the effects of the signs of the Mage, Warrior and Thief.
    • This effect will not work if the character is under the effect of the Lover's sign. To save the effect of the sign of the Lover, you can use the ethereal crown DG. If you remove the crown before the character lies down in bed, and then put it back on, then any effect from it will stack with the effect of the Embrace of Love.
    • This effect will not work if the main character is a werewolf.

Vampirism

In the Dawnguard add-on, it is possible to turn a spouse into a vampire. This is part of the Volkihar clan quest called The Gift.

This doesn't technically make the other half a vampire - he/she will still be detectable with the Detect Life spell and he/she won't use Vampire Drain. The eyes will not emit an orange glow, and no other signs of vampirism will appear.

Cohabitation

At the beginning of the game, there may not be enough money to buy a home, so it makes sense to marry a character who owns decent property and live in his house until the hero can afford to buy his own.

If the spouse has his own home, then you can move there. Items that will be left in this location will not disappear. If the main character owns his own property, then you can choose one of these houses to share. However, it is impossible to settle in empty empty houses, houses that are a reward for completing quests or belong to factions that the main character belongs to. You can live together only in those houses that the protagonist bought for money. If the add-on is installed Hearthfire, then you can settle in one of the built estates, if they have a bed for a spouse.

The property owned by the spouse can be both residential and commercial, and can perform both functions at the same time. The possession can include both the whole house, and one room in it, or even a room in a tavern (which does not actually belong to the second half). If the husband / wife will live in their own house, then their daily routine will be the same as before the wedding. He/she will go to the same places and do the same things. If the spouse / spouse settle in the main character's house, then they will never leave from there, unless, of course, they are companions. It is worth noting that the spouse / wife will take some time to move, and he / she will not immediately appear in the protagonist's house, as in fact he will make the entire transition from one house to another.

If the protagonist is a friend of a character, they will usually be able to sleep in their house and take some cheap stuff from there, and it won't count as stealing. However, expensive items cannot be taken - this will already be considered a crime. After marriage, you can freely take even quite expensive things from the house of your spouse. The main thing is that the item costs less than 500 septims. If the spouse lives in the main character's house, then his/her own dwelling is usually closed. To get there, you need to move there and get a key.

The spouse's property may be only one bed. For example, Dravinia the Carver's home would be the Woodlace Tavern, where she owns only a bed in a small room that she shares with other characters living there, even after she marries. None of the chests and other containers in the room and other areas of the tavern belong to her. Given that you can sleep in her bed, and not marrying her, but just doing her a favor, marrying her may not be so beneficial for a prudent groom.

It is worth paying attention to the fact that if other characters lived in the spouse’s home before the wedding, after moving there they will not go anywhere and will live there. If the spouse is a merchant, but another character lived in his / her shop, who can replace him for the time of absence or death, then the spouse / spouse will not be able to trade there as long as this character is alive.

Features of marriage in The Elder Scrolls V: Hearthfire

  • If the hero has children, then he will not be able to live with them with his soulmate if there is no children's room in his / her house.
  • After the marriage, the children will move to where the spouse of the hero settles, even if they lived before in different houses.
  • When the wife / husband moves to a new place, the children will move with her / him.
  • In the conversation dialog with the wife / husband, a line will appear with a question about the health of the children.
  • If the hero has children in a city other than the city where the spouse lives, he/she will move in with the children.

  • "Marriage bonds" - to be combined by marriage with some inhabitant of Skyrim.
  • "Gift" DG - turn the other half into a vampire.
  • "Bandit Attack" HF - rescue the other half, kidnapped by bandits (radiant), from captivity.
  • "Salvation" DG - vampires can kidnap the spouse of the protagonist (radiant).

Divorce and new marriage

It is impossible to get a divorce and marry another character in the game. This is impossible even after the death of the second half. In order to fix this, you will have to use console commands.

Note: in fact, the number of remarriages after the death of the protagonist's spouse is limited only by the number of characters available for marriage, but due to the incorrect operation of the script that restarts the quest, this becomes impossible. This bug has been fixed in the Unofficial Skyrim Patch.

Below is a sequence of steps required for a full divorce with the possibility of remarriage.

    • removefac 51596
    • player.removefac C6472
    • resetquest 74793
    • resetquest 21382
    • SetStage 74793 10
  • Wait 24 hours.
  • Then you can enter into a new marriage in the usual way.

It should be noted that the above method does not always work. In such a case, a number of actions will have to be taken.

  • Enter the resetquest RelationshipMarriage command in the console.
  • Throw Mara's amulet out of inventory.
  • Go to Riften and talk to Maramal. He will start the quest again.
  • It may happen that the first time this method does not work, and you have to restart the game.
  • It is also worth checking that when talking with Maramal, there is definitely no Mary's amulet in the inventory.

Notes

  • The more inhabitants of Skyrim the hero helps, the more guests will come to his wedding. If you don’t help anyone or get married at the very beginning of the game, then there will be practically no one in the hall
  • Maramal explains the absence of the need to look after the future husband / wife as follows: “ In Skyrim, love is as harsh as the people who live here. Life is not easy and short, there is no time for long courtship. If someone wants to find a mate, he wears the amulet of Mara around his neck to show it. When someone reciprocates, and the couple realizes that they want to be together, one of them comes to the temple and asks us to perform the ceremony».
  • There is no way in the game to marry male Redguards and male Altmer without using console commands. Marriage with Khajiit and Bosmer is impossible even through the console.
  • There is no polygamy in the game, but it is possible to enter into same-sex marriages.
  • If the other half dies, then there will be no possibility of remarriage without the use of console commands.
    • If you resurrect a character using console commands, then he will no longer be considered the husband / wife of the main character. It will still be possible to trade with them, but marriage dialogues will no longer be available, and if you move such a character to the protagonist's house, he will not live there.
  • Although Maramal says " Your wedding will be tomorrow, from dawn to dusk', but technically this is incorrect. The wedding will be exactly 24 hours after the dialogue with Maramal.
  • If you want to know what kind of property the character chosen for marriage owns, you can follow where he goes to sleep. If he sleeps in the same bed every time, then, as a rule, it belongs to him. After that, you can check nearby chests and items for the availability of their capture without imposing a penalty. If items are marked red, then they can only be stolen. It is worth completing some kind of quest for a potential spouse in order to change his or her disposition towards the hero. After that, you need to check the items and chests next to the bed again. If they are no longer highlighted in red, then they belong to the possible second half of the protagonist.
  • If any merchant in the game dies, then the future other half can replace him in the shop. After that, such characters may not have dialogues for marriage with them. Such characters include Camille Valeria and Muiri.
  • If you leave the stolen things in the house of cohabitation, and then take them again, then the second half can inform the main character on guard. This does not apply to items placed in containers.
  • If the spouse becomes a Blade (before or after marriage, it doesn't matter), then Sky Haven Temple will become his/her home, but the option to move the other half to the protagonist's home still remains.
  • If the protagonist marries a character that others had feelings for (for example, Camilla Valeria), then the outcast characters can hunt down the protagonist and attack him.
  • If you settle your spouse in one of the estates added by the add-on Hearthfire, then you should take care of their safety, since these houses are practically not protected from attacks. If the other half belongs to companions, then it is worth giving her good equipment. If the spouse does not belong to the category of companions, then this can be fixed using console commands. To do this, you will have to perform the following sequence of actions.
    • Open the console and select the protagonist's spouse in it by clicking on him/her with the left mouse button.
    • Enter the following console commands:
      • setrelationshiprank player 4
      • addfac 5C84D 1
      • addfac 5A1A4 1
  • If for some reason there are not enough candidates for marriage in the game, then using console commands, you can make some other characters available for marriage. To do this, you need to perform the following series of actions.
    • Open the console and select a potential spouse in it by clicking on him / her with the left mouse button.
    • Enter the following console commands:
      • setrelationshiprank player 4
      • addfac 19809 1
    • The following is the usual sequence of actions.
    • This method is not suitable for all characters, but only for those who have standard marriage dialogues enabled. The list of unavailable characters includes the Bosmer and Khajiit mentioned above, as well as Dremora, officers of the Imperial Legion, Stormcloaks and many others.

Bugs

  • If there is at least one deceased companion on the hero’s account, then an unpleasant incident may happen during the wedding: together with the guests, the corpse of this former companion will appear at the temple doors, the wedding quest will fail and none of the other guests will want to talk with the hero, and the chosen one / chosen one will assure that he no longer wants to see the hero.
    • Solution 1: The bug is fixed in the official patch version 1.2 and higher.
    • Solution 2: leave the temple for a couple of hours and then come back and apologize to Maramal and future spouse. The wedding will take place the next day at the same time. To avoid failure a second time, you need to drag the corpse somewhere away from the wedding hall.
    • Solution 3PC: using the console, resurrect the guest with the resurrect command, after selecting the corpse by clicking on it.
  • It often happens that the newly-made husband / wife leaves the ceremony at the moment when the hero cannot move yet, that is, he is waiting for the end of the celebration. After that, the second half disappears. It also very often happens that the spouse goes to the hero or to his home (as was decided), but never comes and also disappears.
    • Solution 1: wait a while at the temple of Mary - the fugitive character may return. However, this does not always work.
    • Solution 2 PC: use the console command player.moveto Ref ID , substituting the spouse's Ref ID. Ref IDs can be found in articles about specific characters.

You can ask the candidate: “Do you like me?”. He / she will answer, but they will also be interested in the opinion of the protagonist. If the protagonist agrees, preparations for marriage can begin. To do this, you will have to return to the temple of Mary and organize a ceremony by talking with Maramal again. After waiting 24 hours, you can leave the temple, and then wait until the entry "Show up to your own wedding" appears in the quest log. Now you can return to the temple, and the wedding will begin.

marriage ceremony

marriage ceremony
Maramal opens the wedding ceremony with the words: “Here is our beautiful bride / our happy groom. Are you willing to love to tie your lives together - now and forever?

The potential spouse of the protagonist will answer: “Yes. Now and Forever". Maramal will ask the same question to the protagonist, to which you can choose one of two answers:

"Yes. Now and forever” - Maramal will continue the ceremony with the words: “By the power given to me by Mara, the goddess of love, I declare you spouses. I present to you both these rings, blessed by the grace of Mara. May they keep you in your life together.”
"Stop the wedding! I don't want to get married!" - Maramal will be surprised and say: “Do you want to leave your partner? Get out of the temple." If you try to talk to a rejected candidate, he or she will only say: "Get out of my sight" or some other remark in the same vein. Temple priests and ceremony guests will be much more concise, simply saying "Get out of here" or "Go away."
If the ceremony is completed as expected, the guests will congratulate the newlyweds. Before leaving the temple, the hero must talk with his spouse, discussing the conditions for living together. The second half will talk about it herself, saying something like: “Finally we are married. Perhaps we should decide where to live? If you want, we can stay with me." You have to make a choice between the protagonist's house and the home of the newly-made spouse.

When meeting, he/she will express extreme indignation at the behavior of the protagonist, uttering a phrase like “What do you want? There is nothing to talk about!" There are two responses to this response:

“It was a mistake. Can we start all over again?" - the abandoned candidate will forgive the hero, giving him a second chance to marry. After that, you need to talk again with Maramal, who will forgive the main character and agree to a second ceremony. You can repeat the whole process several times until you are sure that you made the right choice, or you can choose the option below.
"What makes you think that I love you?" - after these words, the protagonist will no longer be able to marry this character. Also, the abandoned candidate will begin to despise the main character. However, the possibility of marriage with another suitable character remains.

Benefits of Marriage

Benefits of Marriage
Once a day, the spouse will prepare a homemade meal, the use of which speeds up the restoration of health, stamina and magic by 25% for 600 seconds.
Spouses who are companions can still follow the main character at his request, you can exchange equipment and other items with them. In addition, as spouses, they will cook home-cooked meals, even when they are far from home.
Husband / wife can sometimes give something.
Husband / wife will open a store that generates an income of 100 Septims per day.
If the spouse accompanies the protagonist as a companion, then you can trade right on the way.
If the character was a merchant before marriage, then he or she will have the same goods on sale that were in stock before marriage. If the character was not a merchant, then he or she will trade in all sorts of things and some of the things that are in their inventory.
You should not worry that the spouse will sell to someone the things given to them for safekeeping. Like the other merchants in the game, they actually only trade with the player character.
Husband's product range is random and appears to be updated once a day (along with a daily income that can be requested from the other half).
The spouse will not give any discounts to the protagonist - the price level still depends on the mastery of the protagonist's eloquence.
Sleeping (even for just one hour) next to your significant other grants the temporary Embrace of Love ability - all skills grow 15% faster for 8 hours. It is worth noting that this bonus can be obtained even when using a bed that does not belong to the main character, including in dungeons and other locations, provided that there are no enemies nearby. Thus, this ability takes on a special value if the spouse is a companion.
This effect stacks with the effects of the signs of the Mage, Warrior and Thief.
This effect will not work if the character is under the effect of the Lover's sign. To save the effect of the sign of the Lover, you can use the DG ethereal crown. If you remove the crown before the character lies down in bed, and then put it back on, then any effect on it will stack with the effect of the Embrace of Love.
This effect will not work if the main character is a werewolf.

Vampirism

Cohabitation
At the beginning of the game, there may not be enough money to buy a home, so it makes sense to marry a character who owns decent property and live in his house until the hero can afford to buy his own.

If the spouse has his own home, then you can move there. Items that will be left in this location will not disappear. If the main character owns his own property, then you can choose one of these houses to share. However, it is impossible to settle in empty empty houses, houses that are a reward for completing quests or belong to factions that the main character belongs to. You can live together only in those houses that the protagonist bought for money. If the Hearthfire add-on is installed, then it is possible to settle in one of the built estates, if they have a bed for a spouse.

Features of marriage in Hearthfire fashion

Features of marriage in The Elder Scrolls V: Hearthfire
If the hero has children, then he will not be able to live with them with his soulmate if there is no children's room in his / her house.
After the marriage, the children will move to where the spouse of the hero settles, even if they lived before in different houses.
When the wife / husband moves to a new place, the children will move with her / him.
In the conversation dialog with the wife / husband, a line will appear with a question about the health of the children.
If the hero has children in a city other than the city where the spouse lives, he/she will move in with the children.

33 So, you want to marry an NPC with whom there are no dialogues about the wedding, although you are wearing the amulet of Mary? Or, perhaps, you liked one of the characters hostile to you (for example, a necromancer girl or a Redguard - the leader of the bandits, it doesn’t matter)? This mod will give you such an opportunity. Just install this mod, ask Maramal (on the first visit to Riften he will be in the "bee and sting") to tell more about the temple of Mary, and when wearing the amulet of Mary, the line you look nice today will appear in a conversation with the characters (You look nice today). Click on it. The character will thank you and then the standard dialogue "I like you - so we will be together" will appear, after which you will talk to Maramal about the arrangement of the wedding. Very important! Mary's amulet should be removed ONLY after the wedding! Otherwise, if you go to the temple to arrange a wedding, in the dialogue with Maramal there may not be a line "I want to have a wedding in the temple." In this case, you will no longer be able to marry, just as you will not be able to ask to tell more about the Mary-dialogue temple, after which it will be possible to marry. You may not listen to this advice, but only then do not say that you were not warned.

And now I will tell you in detail how to marry a hostile character. To do this, we additionally need the Submit mod - sexual violence in Skyrim. In Submit, we set up a submission shout to the desired button, I have it "X", turn on the capture of submission and the activation of auto-surrender. We fight with a hostile character until he / she falls to his knees, asking for mercy. We save, otherwise the first time it may not work. We approach him and press the button on which the cry of submission is set. If it worked, you will see how he hits the enemy in the face), then in the dialogue select the line "submit or die" .. we take ALL things, then we speak with the prisoner again, select the line "give everything of value", we take everything. We definitely save! Again we are talking with the character. Select the line "I think you've had enough for now." We answer the question of the prisoner that we are going to hand him over to the guards for a reward. After that, the game will most likely crash to the desktop. We start the game, load the save, unless, of course, you listened to me and saved. Again we tell the prisoner that we are going to hand him/her over to the guards. This time everything should work as it should. If the prisoner's hands are not tied after the dialogue, we start a dialogue and say that the prisoner must wait until you return for him, then again talk about surrendering to the guards. That's it, the prisoner's hands are tied, he follows you (if you just come to the temple of Mary with a prisoner, at the beginning of the ceremony he will definitely attack you and disrupt the ceremony). Having put on Mary's amulet, we speak with the prisoner. Select the line look nice today, then the standard dialogue leading to the wedding. Then offer to go with you. We do not untie the prisoner! Now your main task is to walk together to the temple of Mary. The best way to do this is by fast travel using the map. In the temple we speak with Maramal. We wait or waste time (the beginning of the ceremony is 12-00 am). After the wedding, we tell the prisoner that he is free, then follow you and untie him. Happy family life! It is advisable to travel only with your spouse .. or leave while in your house (only if you live there with your husband / wife) otherwise the character may disappear on the way home if it was a hostile character.

Problem at the wedding: after your consent to take the character as a wife / husband, he / she turns around and leaves without waiting for the end of the ceremony. After leaving the temple and Riften, the escaped character will not be found, unless in the place where he was first met.
Solution to the problem: during a conversation with a character, aim at him, open the console and press the right mouse button. Information about the character should appear (as in the screenshot). We write down or remember the character's ID. If the character escaped from the ceremony, then open the console and enter prid character ID, press enter, then moveto player. The fugitive will appear behind you. We tell him to go with you. That's all, enjoy the game. IMPORTANT! Before the exploits, be sure to visit Riften and talk to Maramal so that everything goes as it should.

In Game "Skyrim" now there is an interesting innovation - the ability to marry, and this procedure is accompanied by very pompous ceremonies, rings, and in general everything that is needed for this. In the game, not only heterosexual marriages are possible, but also same-sex marriages, but polygamy is prohibited. You can tie the knot not with the first character you meet, but only with those for whom the developers have provided the opportunity to marry. To find out how to get married in skyrim, read on. Don't worry, the list of "allowed" characters is quite large, so you'll have plenty to choose from. You will need to get close to the selected character and get the "go-ahead" for the prospect of marrying him. To do this, you will need to complete special missions for loyalty. Also, you must have a good reputation.

What is required to get married?

In general, the process of getting married in the game is not particularly difficult, and it will not require expenses, at least serious ones. To be able to perform the marriage ceremony, you must purchase the amulet of Mary. The amulet is held by the priest Maramal, whom you will find in the tavern. Ask Maramal to tell you about Mara, the goddess of love and marriage, and then offer to sell you the amulet for 200 gold coins. It may happen that Maramal will not be in the tavern, then you need to look for him in Riften in the temple of Mary. But this is not the only way to get the necessary amulet.

One way or another, having obtained the amulet, you must decide on the choice of the candidate on which you will marry. Carefully consider this issue, because marriage, even in the game world, is a serious step. You can pick up any character you like, but the main thing is that he shows a certain interest in you (pay attention to the appearance of a dialog box).

Once you've made your choice, make sure everything goes smoothly. To do this, you need to put on the obtained amulet of Mary and go to your chosen one. Start a conversation with him, but there will not be any special romance. Your game character will simply directly ask the interlocutor whether he agrees to marriage and whether he is interested in your candidacy. If the potential bride (groom) answers yes (by the way, this may not happen), you will need to receive a request for a wedding event.

Where to go for marriage in Skyrim?

It remains to go to the temple of Mary and there to clarify all the details of the future ceremony of your marriage. You will be surprised how quickly everything will be prepared: in just 24 hours the ceremony will take place. Until that time, try not to go far from the temple of Mary - God forbid you will be late for the ceremony or miss it. When the wedding takes place, think about choosing a place where you and your spouse will live. If you already have a house that you have built, then you can continue to live in it. We hope we were able to answer your question how to get married in skyrim
